This is the first professional sport labor issue I`ve been on the players`side.

Most years, with free agency preceding the draft by almost two months, teams address their roster needs in FA and then draft best talent available (generally). If there is no FA before the draft, how much does this dynamic change? I think this year, especially for teams with a lot of roster...

Are we expecting a large or small FA class this year? Are teams less likely to re-sign their own FA's until they see what the CBA looks like or will teams sign as much of their own as they can, anticipating a short preseason, once the CBA is signed?

I think the real issue is and always has been between owners. How they share their money is the biggest issue. Owners that build their franchise value want a bigger return. The first place they'll look is the players, but in the end, it will be owners fighting owners.

I just don`t see one I like in the first round. I like Kerrigan and Ayers at 17. I like OT there too, but there would seem to be 5-6 of similar skill slated to go between 15 and 35, so why take the first one at 17? If we go OLB at 17, I wouldn`t be surprised if we traded 32 or 33 for a 2011...
