    BGC 2025 OL/PTP Thread

I would do that for Simmons, little less for Conerly but yea I'd be all for it. I'm not interested in who's available at 106 in this draft. Also I'm from Billy Beane school when it comes to trades. I don't want to say "i don't care what I give up" but I'm much more concerned with what I'm...

    BGC 2025 OL/PTP Thread

Fwiw I expect Conerly and Simmons to go early RD1. Like top 20ish. Simmons won't be there at 38 and I'd be surprised if Conerly was. If we walk away with Hunter/Carter + one of them it's an A+ draft. Biggest needs, premium positions and some of the better prospects in the draft. I'd lose my...

    BGC 2025 OL/PTP Thread

Simmons and Conerly are better LT than Campbell so I would be thrilled with them. Esp outside the top 10. Both would be starting LT1 game one. Easy. Also to the "overreacting" crowd. Or he played in the "SEC" crowd. If there's any out there. You can't overreact when a prospect is falling short...

    2025 Draft: WRs

There is a real shortage of guys who can play the X position. I think that drives Ayomanor into the 2nd and Tre Harris will be a top 3 wr on quite a few boards. We'll see but I think both go top 50-60.

Josh Simmons only true LT with a 1st Round grade

I go into a little bit of in my thread. There's quite a few top tier-ish guys with some "character" issues in this draft, esp at WR and OT. Tet and LBIII are headaches and I really like both.

Do people REALLY think Membou, a RT, IS Better than Campbell at LT?

He's still very much inconsistent though even last year. Above average in pass pro but he's one of the worse run blockers at his position. Sure though that line and QB situation definitely had some issues. Save RB everyone does. I just think he's a good example of we're looking at. Good...

I think Skoronski is a good example of why you dont take Campbell. Skoronski has actually struggled. Especially run blocking. So when people say just "kick him inside." It's not an automatic that'll he'll be an all-pro guard.

    2025 Draft: TEs

Loveland, Warren and Taylor are all going top 30-40 imo. I think in that order as well.

    Ashton Jeanty @ 4?

The "consensus board" thats put out all the combined media boards is about as on point as it gets. It was almost 85% accurate in the first round last year I believe. Like 82-83%. Also I think people need to come around to the fact that "need" is usually always factored in. From the first pick...

Do people REALLY think Membou, a RT, IS Better than Campbell at LT?

You don't need to spend the 4th overall pick to achieve that. It's not about "draft philosophies" or building through the trenches. Everyone wants a strong OL. It's about recognizing the value in said prospects, positions of need and positions of impact on Sunday. If you can't gage the...

    BGC 2025 OL/PTP Thread

You could argue that, sure. It's well below standards. Like 5-6 inches. All this is stuff I factor in after I find out about though. I can look at a guy and estimate based on where his wrist/hand is next to hips. So I have a good idea but as I said before. Guys with 35" arms will have similar...

Do people REALLY think Membou, a RT, IS Better than Campbell at LT?

You don't draft guards in the lottery. It doesn't make sense. The position isn't valuable enough and certainly isn't helping you score 30 points per game. Even future HOF or HOF caliber guards like a Nelson or Scherff aren't moving the needle that much in terms of points or wins. Lottery...

    BGC 2025 OL/PTP Thread

Yes but as I said above the class as a whole is weak. I wasn't talking about IDL, the entire class is very weak as a collective. And only one of those guys you mentioned has 2nd round value. IDL isn't strong at all.

Do people REALLY think Membou, a RT, IS Better than Campbell at LT?

I've just now been reading up on people's opinions here and way too many are paying attention to 32" or 33" or wingspan etc Just paying attention to the wrong stuff. I dont want to say it doesn't matter but it's not nearly as important as people are making it out to be. It does but after 3-4...

    BGC 2025 OL/PTP Thread

I do. He definitely has his flaws but I have a 2nd round grade, IDL2. With or without Barmore I want to add to our DL. Problem is the class as a whole is weak so he'll go mid-late first. I'd trade up a little to get him to get one of the better players in the class that plays a premium position.
  16. BaconGrundleCandy

    BGC 2025 OL/PTP Thread

He would better than what we had imo. I wouldn't draft a tackle at 4. I think 2 QBs are going top 3. If that happens you would need to be a double agent or complete moron to F up this draft. Take A)Hunter or B)Carter in that order imo and try to trade up to get Nolan. Take the best OT after that...

    BGC 2025 OL/PTP Thread

I don't think this guy gets enough attention. Was on the "freak list" and although he needs some technique work his game is as solid as anyone after round 1 imo.

    BGC 2025 OL/PTP Thread

Arm length is an obvious factor but just not nearly as important as what's in front of your eyes on film. Way too much talk about 32" or 33". It doesn't matter. I can name 100+ tackle prospects with 34"+ that had similar issues. He would have the same value with longer arms with this tape...

    BGC 2025 OL/PTP Thread

I have a 4th on him. Hes a bit stiff, plays too tall at times in the run game but really makes up for it with his paws, power and body control. He touches you it's almost 100% over and again I really like his body control. Ability to move, wash and put people on the ground with his body control...
