Game Day Thread Official Game Day Thread - Pats @ Bills

I'm amazed the Bills didn't run it on third down to make it an easier chance. Inches matter in the kicking game on a night like this.

Game Day Thread Official Game Day Thread - Pats @ Bills

Even with the wind, running the ball is doing damage. I'm curious if Mac Jones gets to use play action a few times since it's likely the Bills are going to overcommit even more to make up for fatigue.

Game Day Thread Official Game Day Thread - Pats @ Bills

That's what the second half is for - finishing the game. I realize we've been blowing teams out, but maybe the second half has a purpose in most football games. Wear the Bills down and then destroy them in the 4th.

Game Day Thread Official Game Day Thread - Pats @ Bills

So Brady left because Joshy wouldn't let him pass in a tornado? For all this time, I thought salary cap issues and egos had more to do with Brady's departure. But I guess random reason of the week is just as likely.

NFL GAME DAY DISCUSSION OFFICIAL Super Bowl Bucs/Chiefs Game Thread

The one thing that hasn't been part of this narrative is how instrumental Bill was to building Brady. Just like John Wayne becoming John Wayne with John Ford's help, Brady the GOAT was a creation that few could see coming. Without New England's coaches and some luck with Bledsoe going down...

NFL GAME DAY DISCUSSION OFFICIAL Super Bowl Bucs/Chiefs Game Thread

The toughest road, but it seems like most doubted him. There was little pressure and tons of upside. I think Tom had the team believing everyone still thought they were the Bucs of old and rode that horse to the finish line.

Oh I don't care either... I just like pouring salt in the wounds. I had the Chiefs winning this on paper, but am glad to see them go down in flames like this.

NFL GAME DAY DISCUSSION OFFICIAL Super Bowl Bucs/Chiefs Game Thread

Ah, so we've hit the overrated phase of fan "hot takes." Next thing you know, some MAGA person will say "I told you all along Donnie was overrated." People always stab those they rooted for in the back rather than accept that good things can end without any finger pointing.

C'mon Aaron Rodgers, you know you want to join the 7-9 Patriots.

NFL GAME DAY DISCUSSION OFFICIAL Super Bowl Bucs/Chiefs Game Thread

It was a terrible night coaching-wise for Reid. But I'm still baffled by how much the Chief players just gave up pretty early into the game. This was a pitiful effort.

NFL GAME DAY DISCUSSION OFFICIAL Super Bowl Bucs/Chiefs Game Thread

I think people are getting ahead of themselves. Bill didn't get to move to a top tier roster, so I'm not buying that this proves much other than Brady still had talent. Let's be honest here - Brady wanted out, just like Gronk wanted out. Bill is a hardliner and some players just have enough...

NFL GAME DAY DISCUSSION OFFICIAL Super Bowl Bucs/Chiefs Game Thread

Tampa played well and that's what I expected. But the Chiefs... this is an all time pathetic effort. They got some knocks early and refused to adjust. And by the half, the Chiefs threw in the towel. When was the last time a talented favorite, like the Chiefs, just gave up this much in the...

NFL GAME DAY DISCUSSION OFFICIAL Super Bowl Bucs/Chiefs Game Thread

Exactly. People trying to make light of twenty years of dominance are crazy. The GOAT relocated to an extremely talented roster and built them into a winner across a season. Also, when did we face a team with a battered offensive line like the Chiefs? Their strength on offense is completely...

NFL GAME DAY DISCUSSION OFFICIAL Super Bowl Bucs/Chiefs Game Thread

This game makes me respect the Packers more. I thought the Bills would have beaten the stuffing out of the Cheeseheads, but after this showing, Green Bay played the Bucs far better.

NFL GAME DAY DISCUSSION OFFICIAL Super Bowl Bucs/Chiefs Game Thread

It will get me boo-ed, but this Super Bowl reminds me of the Giants taking us down at 18-0 in terms of a defensive front taking over the game. Mahomes looks unsure of himself with all that pressure and I can't see him flicking a switch (but who knows...). To think the Chiefs are 17-1 before...

Reminder: EVERYONE knew that Brady would have between 1 and 3 productive seasons

Even with better drafting, our success year after year wouldn't have allowed us -- in terms of salary cap -- to have the massive talent of the current Buc roster.

OT: Official 2020 Tompa Bay Gronkaneers Thread

Ah... attacks on the media as the "gotcha." I think I understand what type hat you wear. I'm not going to get bullied out of facts and research by your attempts to shame me for reading. It would seem you are "right" because of your own eye tests and gut feelings being better than those of...

OT: Official 2020 Tompa Bay Gronkaneers Thread

Yes, because what happened roughly speaking is nonsense. Brady wanted more cash and that was widely reported. It wasn't like he said "Please Bill, let me stay... I'll take the league minimum and teach your sons to coach even better." Brady was done here and Bill was done with Brady. It was a...

OT: Official 2020 Tompa Bay Gronkaneers Thread

I agree with most of your post with Bill's treatment of Brady. But one thing is missing from your narrative: if Brady gets signed for more cash -- i.e. what he's worth -- then the team's talent struggles only get worse. We've been reloading and "selling out" (as you put it) for so long, there...

NFL GAME DAY DISCUSSION Wild Card game discussion: Bucs @ Football team

The season isn't over yet. When things really get challenging, I'm not sure Antonio Brown is who I'd want in my corner if I'm Brady. But I'm not Brady and he wanted Brown so bad he blew up his retiring a Pat. He needs to win the Super Bowl with Brown or people will always say it was a mistake...
