Must Read Article: How the 2007 Patriots Changed Football Forever

Winning 2 of these last 3, makes reading these types of articles a bit less painful for me as a fan, and more able to truly appreciate the legacy of that amazing squad. As a side note, I've always felt NE really hurt themselves game planning wise those days, by playing the bend don't break...

    Goodell really is an idiot

Wouldn't you need to compare the life span of the typical NFL player to a similar group of superior fit athletes, but WITHOUT the daily head trauma? Not just to the average daily slob out there. But hey, it's a good legal strategy.

Goodell still upset about Patricia's clown shirt

How about this t-shirt design Roger??? Get 'em while they're hot! :D

Breaking down David Harris' deal with the New England Patriots

Thanks for the great breakdown OP! One small ask, what's a typical salary for this/his position in the NFL these days? And more importantly, how does it compare across the league in your opinion? To me, the $'s seems pretty reasonable.

Pats sign former Jet LB David Harris

Yet another safety in the early rounds. WTFs? BB doesn't repeat mistakes very often, but he really wasted quite a bit of draft capital hunting for this White Whale over the years.

Saints fans observation who attended patriots mini camp

I found this interesting: They seem to be using him in the slot more often than not along with edeleman.

OT: Derek Carr Signs 5yr $125M Extension With Raiders

Doesn't this actually help bolster the Pats position on JG's trade value? If a team like CLE balked at say 18M a year in risk as too high, this shows the market might think otherwise. NE might actually be legit in asking for what they are asking for one young semi-proven possibly bonafide 1yr...

Malcolm Butler, how did he get to this point in his career ?

I wonder how many other teams brought him in. Or NE, once they saw the results, signed him right on the spot.

Which Players May be Traded by the Patriots in 2017'

Good idea for a post. Looking back, it's usually been the D side of the ball, and scheme-wise a DL or LB makes the most sense as an immediate plug-in (with increasing responsibility as they grow) for NE. It's definitely someone on the moderate to cheap salary-wise. Add to that, there are...

OT: Thuney graded top G pass blocking efficiency 2016 (94.1 PFF)

No, this isn't good enough either. The board experts have spoken. Thuney, and the entire Pats Superbowl winning OL just aren't very good. Well at least now we know.;)

OT: Thuney graded top G pass blocking efficiency 2016 (94.1 PFF)

Boo hoo. You guys are soooo right. In the future I'll just reply to every post on the board with a one sentence throwaway piece of internet garbage to build my post count.

OT: Thuney graded top G pass blocking efficiency 2016 (94.1 PFF)

He're the full list of all teams. For those dummies that still think PFF isn't a credible stat rating, especially for OL men, just take a look at DAL and some of the other best and worst names and teams on this list. For many positions, e.g. QB, I wouldn't use PFF as TP for my bunghole, but OL...

OT: Thuney graded top G pass blocking efficiency 2016 (94.1 PFF)

Impressive. Didn't realize he had such a good year in that respect. As a rookie no less. The ratings don't get much higher than that. No wonder he started every game. I do wonder what his run blocking grade was, however. I'll see if I (or someone here maybe:)) can find it and post. Anyway...

Hopefully blockbuster concussion lawsuit against the NFL

I've seen nothing saying any organization except the NFL was the sole target. Maybe I'm wrong, but the NCAA has never been mentioned in any of these head injury suits/articles of such.

Schefter: Expect Pats to Keep Garoppolo Beyond 2017

Also, those stats don't account for the fact that the 2001 team was MUCH better the 2nd half of the season, improving almost weekly once they figured out what BB was doing.

Raymond Clayborn Inducted into Patriots Hall of Fame

Tatupu? C'mon really. HOF level, I never thought he was that good. Played his heart out, but more of a fan favorite than all pro type. Am I missing something? Vrabel too. I'm not quite sure he's Patriots HOF level. Good player. Important cog, yes. But if those teams hadn't dominated and he...

The Patriots signed WR Andrew Hawkins

Two great articles on the NFL journey of Andrew Hawkins. Two of the better penned and inspirational never quit articles I've come across in a while. One thing is for sure, he's not going to go down easy or get cut without a helluva fight. Best part from article 1. During his college pro day...

Schefter: Expect Pats to Keep Garoppolo Beyond 2017

Unless TB suffers some catastrophic arm (labrum tear) or knee injury, I have no doubt he could remain a top (most effective getting W's) QB in the league for 5 more years. Say if near the end, his arm strength dropped 20%, and foot speed another 20% during those last few years; his line...

Hopefully blockbuster concussion lawsuit against the NFL

The problem I have with this legal argument is this. If the average career of a NFL player is 3 years, and he also played 4 years of NCAA college, 4 years of the highest tier of state high school ball, 2 yr of jr high, 2 yrs of elementary school ball, and 3 yrs of pee wee, then that's only 17%...
