Bryan Stork is placed on DTR reserve

I think we will see all dressed Olinemen playing tomorrow at some point. The question is will it be 7 or 8. If memory serves, I believe they typically dress 7 and if so: Solder, Vollmer, Cannon - pretty much a given Jackson, Wendell, Andrews, Kline, Mason - one would sit, my guess is Mason for...

Question Regarding 'America's Game' and 'Do your Job'

Not so sure about that. The very first "A Football Life" was about him about 5 years back plus he allowed Michael Holley inside access for a year several years back. So while I think the question is fair, the time to see its relevance to his coaching tenure was some time ago.

    Wetzel's report on today's (8/19) hearing.

I found this quote from Berman as communicated by Wetzel telling: "The judge repeatedly noted that just because something is collectively bargained doesn't mean it can violate federal law" I'm not sure what specific Federal Law is violated but the pro NFL side (ESPN) has been countering that...

PATRIOTS NEWS Official Brady vs. NFL Federal Court 8/12 Thread (LIVE UPDATES)

Could someone please add context for me here. I thought the basis for this hearing was primarily whether the process for discipline as described in the cba was adhered to or violated and that the findings in the Wells report were irrelevant. This is what my understanding was based on not just...

    Biggest roster logjams

DL will be what I'll be watching most closely this Thursday. Specifically how the rotation sets up and in addition to the guys you mentioned, Johnson and Brown. I just hope the local tv coverage spends some time isolating this group for analysis and not too much time on Jimmy. It would be nice...

    Patriots Camp Day One

Jeff Howe reported that Zach Moore looks like he has packed on significant muscle. I'm curious how he looks in practice for anyone going. Hopefully, they'll have numbers on soon.

An Alternative Explanation for the AEI Report conclusions

What I was dumbfounded by more than anything was in Wells' post report conference call, when asked about the 2 gauges, his colleague responded that "which gauge was used is irrelevant" and that they used the drop in pressure of the Colts 4 balls as a basis for comparison and effectively made...

Mike Reiss on What it Would Take for Zero Games For Brady

I think the whole defense rests on challenging the conclusions of the ball testing at half-time. Specifically, the procedures (gauges, timing, number of balls) and the total disregard for the ideal gas law and more so, the likelihood that nobody testing even knew of the gas law and how this...

WHAT IF? TAKING ANOTHER LOOK AT OCT 16TH JETS OVERINFLATION:

Given the inconsistencies with gauges and the very casual way in which the balls are handled and measured by the refs, another possible explanation for the 16 psi is the refs measure them and they come in low. They then pump them and don't remeasure thinking "a few pumps and we're good to go"...

    Reiss has lost his mind

So the league being accountable for their irresponsible actions and ignorance during this whole circus would be enough for Kraft? Come on Mike Reiss, we are way past that point. And I'm not really buying the idea that there is some negotiation going on now. That would have and should have...

    Distinguishing Between DE's and LB's

OF course. I'm really referring to the younger DE/LB types that we seem to have quite a few of right now (less Buchannon now), not the veteran starters.

    Distinguishing Between DE's and LB's

That's truly the crux of it. Outside of Malcom Brown, it will be quite a fight to make the final 53 let alone the game day roster. I have to believe that how a guy looks on 1st, 2nd and 3rd down in the 4th quarter against the Packers and Saints in August will have less weight than how he looks...

Reiss expects Pats to be fined-deflategate? No farking way

I've bolded the part that caught my eye. Where is this pretty clear? I don't see anything in either the statement by the NFL on January 23rd or Rule 2 that explicity states that balls are to be "maintained" in accordance with Rule 2 throughout the game. Here is a part of the quote from the NFL...

Thanks. Do you have a quote or link from Reiss?

Reiss expects Pats to be fined-deflategate? No farking way

Does anyone here know why Reiss thinks there will be a fine? I submitted this question in his mailbag but it wasn't selected.

Reiss expects Pats to be fined-deflategate? No farking way

Very confusing analysis by Reiss who is usually methodical. He states that the league likely won't find evidence of deliberate tampering but will need to levy some penalty for the fact that footballs were used that were proven to be underinflated. So this would disregard any scientific findings...

    Patriots sign RB Travaris Cadet

That's they guy I'm hoping for. I liked him a lot at Stanford. Versatile and a patient runner.

    McCourty Back to Corner?

If the secondary remains as is in terms of personnel which I don't think it will, its very plausible we see him take some reps at CB. He is far and away the best DB we have and will be gameplan specific as to how he is utilized.

    Patriots sign DE/OLB Jabaal Sheard

This guy is a 3 down player with some versatility I hear but I can't say I saw him play much other then LDE for the Browns. Could be inside on 3rd downs with Easley. Any projections from you guys on who the front 7 (or 6 in nickel) is against a 2 TE or 3 WR package?
