Fun stat about the Patriots defense (passer rating 35.6)

If a QB were to throw an incompletion every pass their passer rating would be a 39.6. The Pats D is currently sitting at a 35.6. If they keep this up they'll be considered the greatest defense of all time whew

    On to the Browns!

Gilmore vs OBJ should be fun to watch (assuming BB puts gilmore on him)

    On to the Browns!

I'm gonna guess that BB's gonna focus on taking Chubb away. Really the only part of their offense that's doing good this year.

    On to the Browns!

The Browns are ranked 31st in passer rating with a 65.8 rating. Should be a massacre.

The Pats winning tonight just completed my $12 parlay for $135. What a time to be alive.

    Rattle Kelces cage.

Because the 49ers aren't in the AFC and aren't a rival of ours.

Is this the best linebacking corps we’ve had?

Since when is a defensive passer rating of 41.0 and allowing only 2.6 PPG (taking out all TDs allowed by non-defensive units) with no passing TDs allowed only "a decent job"?

Poll: How many points will the 2019 Patriots Defense Allow?

I hope so. And to be fair they're putting up better passing numbers but they're run game has taken a hut (4.8 ypc in 2018 vs 3.8 ypc in 2019). We'll see how they how they're really measuring up to last year's offense by the end of the year.

Poll: How many points will the 2019 Patriots Defense Allow?

The Chiefs run defense is allowing 6.2 yards per carry which would put them as the second worse run defense of all time right behind the 1934 Cincinnati Reds which allowed 6.4 ypc. Only 3 games in but yeah I wouldn't really say their defense looks improved.

How does the 2019 team NOW compare to the 2007 team?

They played every team with 10 or more wins besides the Titans, Seahawks, and Packers.

    Brady, Brees, Manning

Of course it's close. They're both huge stat padding dome QBs who post insane numbers in the regular season. Now while Manning has won 2 SBs, this was purely due to his team dragging him along while he was screaming and crying doing whatever he could to take an early trip home. Manning also...

    Brady, Brees, Manning

Years ago I was doing a similar concept. I was comparing the QBs across eras by looking at how they performed against every single defense they faced and judging the defenses they faced by how they performed against every QB they faced except for the QB I was rating. Then water spilled on my...

How does the 2019 team NOW compare to the 2007 team?

I agree that Jerry is better at running the route tree than Randy, but I would like to point out that Randy can also run the whole route tree and in the 2002 and 2003 seasons when he was literally the only receiving threat on the Vikings that's what he had to do. Those two seasons where he...

How does the 2019 team NOW compare to the 2007 team?

    1. We both have no idea, but we do know he used it. Now I'm not saying that's the reason for all his success. I'm saying it's enough to bump him down to number 2. 2. Jerry Rice did have a lot of heart. 3. Randy Moss was traded in 2010, not 2009. Also BB has gone on record saying he didn't...

How does the 2019 team NOW compare to the 2007 team?

In my reply I not only had stickum but also HOF QBs and a HOF Head Coach for the majority of his career. I repeat if Randy Moss had Tom Brady/Joe Montana/Steve Young and Bill Walsh/BB for the majority of his career while also using stickum then he would've equaled those stats

How does the 2019 team NOW compare to the 2007 team?

Btw since this thread became a Randy Moss vs Jerry Rice thread it's obvious the answer to the original op is the 2007 group of WRs is better due to none of the 2019 receivers being anywhere close to the conversation of this new debate.
