Any word on Culpepper?

Heard that Culpepper was just signed by the Pats to do all the Stadium announcing work for the 2008-2010 seasons.

Word is that Randy and Culp are working feverishly right now on his "Rannnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnndyyyyyyyy Mosssssssssssssssssss".

I like it. It shows vision by the front office.

This will probably also make some of you feel better about those ticket increases. ;)

Is anyone else losing sleep over the Culpepper deal? I swear I was awake something like 16 or 17 hours yesterday.

We need to get a petition going! The fans of New England demand Daunte Culpepper!

It's just been awful. I've been on pins and needles with anticipation ever since John Clayton reported that Culpepper would be joining Moss as a package deal in New England. I'm beside myself with anticipation.

What is this, Day 4 of Culpepper Watch? The tension is really getting to me at this point.

I can't sleep, I can't eat, my friends and family are becoming concerned.

Please BB and Pioli, stop the torture!

Sorry guys not gonna happen. I heard Cassell just cleared waivers and signed with Boston. So he got like an extension or something. No need for Culpepper.

:bricks: There are no words.

Of course, it's going to happen. I heard it on ESPN. Clayton said he had "sources".

Culpepper will have trouble getting the snap from center in his wheelchair. He's a "never was" player and probably a bit more mobile than Tommy Brady.

Day Three of the Culpepper Watch, and tensions are high among Patriots fans. Promised by ESPN that Randy Moss would be part of a "package deal" for the dynamic and still talented Culpepper, the Patriots bit the bullet on the wide receiver, but have failed to land the true centerpiece of their offseason rebuilding plans. In a scene reminiscent of the "A-Rod Saga", fans of the Patriots can be found constantly refreshing ESPN or e-mailing John Clayton for any further developments on the breathless pursuit of Culpepper. Will their prayers be answered? We anxiously await that answer.

I don't know.

Randy Moss must think that Culpepper is pretty good. I mean, after all, he held out for a package deal just so Dante could be his QB.

Perhaps Culpepper will be hired on as a ballboy. Then he can throw a few passes to Randy. Certainly his height compared to other ballboys would give him an advantage on the depth chart... I imagine he'd start in that capacity.
Ballboy may not be the best position for him. I just read a scouting report on Culpepper in Ballboy Weekly and they say that Culpepper has trouble holding onto the ball. I agree that his upside is phenomenal but I think he's better suited for Gatorade guy

Just have to say I'm proud of this board again. Finally, some funny stuff along with great info. It was entirely too sad and uptight around here. Welcome back.

John Clayton just reported that Seattle Mariners have offered 2 years, 11$ billion to Culpepper to play centerfield. I'm starting to get nervous here, if the Pats don't pull this off we're looking at a very dark future.

I hear the CFl is looking.. at him

This is just ridiculous. I don't know why the Pats are draggin' their feet. Just give Culpepper the same money as Roethlisberger and be done with it.

Can't we free up a bunch of cap room by cutting Brady?

Now Clayton is reporting that Snarlen Arlen will be holding a press conference tomorrow. Apparently, the reason that the Culpepper move has hit a major road block is that Matt Walsh has ponied up a videotape of Culpepper doing some R. Kelly sh!t in the shower. Here's a snippet of Clayton's Pulitzer-caliber bombshell:

John Gumshoe Clayton said:
Sources around the water fountain are telling me that former Patriots janitor Matt Walsh has provided Pennsylvania Senator Arlen Specter with a very compromising videotape involving superstar QB Daunte Culpepper and and a 12 year old Haitian girl in the shower. Culpepper's agent has since issued a press release denying the accusation as "baseless and totally unfounded," saying "I have met with Senator Specter and I can assure you that no such video still exists."

In unrelated news, Eagles sumo coach Andy Reid announced that Culpepper will be flying to Philadelphia tomorrow to complete a physical for the Eagles organization. No confirmation yet on whether the physical will include a rumored hot dog eating contest invlolving Culpepper, Reid and Japanese phenom Kobayashi.

So this is it guys. Our worst fears are being realized. Moss will surely jump ship now and demand a trade to Philadelphia. The Pats are done. Say hello to the AFC East basement.
