Content Post JETS SUCK 2025 EDITION (OFFICIAL): DIVINE INTERVENTION DENIED

This has an opening post with good commentary and information, which we definitely recommend reading.
Didn't Geno look good against the Patriots early last season? Just sayin.

The Jets will suck and be a laughingstock. Until they won't. It'll happen. Eventually.

Their owner is a joke, similar to the Knicks owner, but in both franchises the right GMs have been hired.

Darren Mougey looks to be legit as the Jets GM.

The Jets still have a very bad HC in Aaron Glenn. But the heir apparent looks to be their OC, Frank Reich.

I can see the Jets firing their HC midway through the season. He was awful last season. In over his head. Even more than Mayo was.

Unlike AG, Frank Reich is a guy with actual head coaching experience but very bad luck such as when Andrew Luck suddenly retired at the worst possible time when he was showing promise with the Colts. Then when he was hired by the Panthers who then sold the farm in 2023 for midget QB Bryce Young, a player their new HC didn't want!

The Panthers will never rise above .500 no matter how much talent they surround this 5'10" QB.

But Mougey/Reich could very well prove to be formidable. If owner Johnson lets them operate.

The Jets doing positive things? I’ll keep banging the Darren Mougey drum.

Jets fans remind me of my fellow Patriots fans circa the Rod Rust year. Diehard, long suffering, non asshats. Some Patriot fans, as evidenced even here on this forum, have let success get to their heads. Almost no assholes among the fan base then.

The Jets GM has already made a string of good moves, very good last draft. Next year they will have gargantuan cap space and three first-rounders. The days of Jet schadenfreude is drawing to a close?

What is your problem? This thread isn't about forecasting hope for Jete fans, praising their current GM or scolding Patriots fans for enjoying success. And yes, Jete fans ARE tremendous asshats -- dregs of the league.

Then they'll be just good enough not to be able to draft one of the top QB unless they massively overpay, if even then.

Somebody please get Kirk Herbstreit some sunscreen, my lord I am getting skin cancer just looking at him...

Ya don't say!

They were an embarrassment in all of 25...

My favorite loss( and only jets game i watched other than vs pats)was watching Rodgers beat them for the opening game. I watched that whole thing... when your a **** team the 1st game can really set the tone for the season.

Classic jets!

They even made Aaron Rodgers likeable for a game... amazing stuff!

The Las Vegas Over/Under for the Jets is 5.5 games

While I'd say their easier schedule would make the over a good bet, if you look at the Jets roster, they're built to tank, especially at QB, with Brady Cook (2TDs and 7INTs) and a 4th round rookie behind him to make sure they tank

They're clearly looking to draft their QB of the future next year - Arch Manning if they can but there will be others - but will be in a race to the bottom with the Fins who Las Vegas odds has at 4.5 wins

The 2027 QB draft class could spark an NFL tanking frenzy

I'm expecting we'll sweep NY and MIA and split a series with Buffalo in the East so that's 5 wins right there - tough schedule for the Pats beyond that so the Las Vegas 9.5 wins for the Pats sounds about right with 10 or 11 to me.

That being said, even though they ranked 30th in OL stats last year the Jets actually have two decent bookends at tackle to protect the QB - though with what they've got it doesn't matter.

The Rod Rust era was 1 year. It was followed by 2 years of McPherson. So we suffered for a very brief span.

Prior to that, the Patriots had only ONE losing season out of 13 years.

I wonder if Jets fans talk about the 1998 and going into the 1999 season as their only legitimate chance to making the Super Bowl? The 1998 team put up a good fight against Denver, but we knew they were going to get overmatched at some point which they did. They were a heavy Super Bowl favorite when they signed Steve Atwater and Roman Phifer. But even with a healthy Testaverde, they would've gotten blown out against Jacksonville. Nobody could beat them....aside from the Titans.

Their Rex Ryans teams were a mirage. They were garbage and gave fans false hope.

Aside from this, what do they even talk about?
