Celtics 2025-2026 Discussion

HC is their weakest link.

Schierman has surprised me with his all-around good play.
You're half right- about Schierman.
You're dead wrong g about Mazzula.
Joe is the likely NBA Coach of the Year and one of the very best in the league.
Sorry, man but you dont know what you're talking about on this subject.

My main complaint with Mazzula last year was he didn't use the bench enough. Well, this year he had to, and he proved to be really freaking good at it. The fact that they finished #2 with that lineup is crazy! I am a believer.

When Drummond hit his first three, Collins sounded like he was at a Taylor Swift concert.

I won't cry if the Nuggets get eliminated - to be honest, Minnesota would scare me more than Denver anyway - but I have to side with Jokic's actions at the end of the last game...

McDaniels was a tool for making that layup. That's a big no-no. It might backfire. The Nuggets should all be out for blood in the next game.

Pritchard torching the Sixers and then torturing that same section of Sixers fans is so satisfying.

18 for Pritch at the half.
C's just smoked em.
If fully healthy, Sixers may have the best starting 5 in the NBA.
The C's is close but Boston also has a far superior bench and plays much better defense. But we need to win this game. If they allow it to go 7 by then Embiid may have found his groove.
Im confident they will.

Love the " We want Boston " chant from the many C's fans there in Philly.
Man they were loud.
Boston fans travel well regardless of the sport

Celtics up 3-1. 76ers defense is awful. George, Maxey, and Embiid can score, but the defense is poor.

The Sixers looked worse with Embiid back. They were force feeding him especially early and the rest of the team couldn’t find a groove.

Yeah. I may have overreacted.

I disagree. It's like complaining when the Pats were "running up the score" in their hey days. If you don't want them to score then stop them.

Or maybe, here's a novel thought, play some defense

If your team has the ball up 4 with two seconds left, you dribble out the clock. That's basic basketball etiquette,

Now if the other team tries to steal it or plays hard defense, then screw them. Drive to the hoop, take a pull jumper, whatever. But that is not what happened here. The Nuggets were starting to walk off the floor when McDaniels made that layup.

It was a **** move on McDaniels' part.

And FWIW, when the situation called for it, the Patriots usually took a knee instead of trying to score. There were definitely situations when scoring more points mattered for playoff seeding. When that happened, sorry - run up the score. Not apples to apples.

Boston people just tend to be funnier/more clever than other fan bases with stuff like that. Remember the “Beat LA” one started as a chant for Philly to beat the Lakers.

I know I’m biased, but we’re awesome.

Orlando up 3-1
Some called this the most even series in the playoffs before it started, and I thought they must be trolling for clicks. Just hadn't been following how bad Detroit became, and the lack of leadership there. Wow. Good for Orlando. Rooting for a seven game series now. For the Knicks, too.

This would be like throwing deep from victory formation.

The NBA is pretty boring this year. You have like all these teams that haven’t really changed much in the last three years; at least I’m talking about their core players. They were basically all the same guys in the playoffs last year too. I guess the Spurs would be different but no one is really buying like some cool underdog story given all of the draft luck and media attention. No one cared or invested in Kevin Durant and were right not to even think twice about that one.

Jaylen Brown is looking good.
