As you pointed out a few posts after this one, if the questions are all about Vrabel, it isn't fair to the players that are drafted, so Wolf will be the one speaking this weekend.

So why could they not simply have Vrabel be here on Saturday and have someone else speak, citing the desire to focus on the players? You can just ignore any question not about a specific player, or have someone else do the press conferences entirely. That's why I don't see him leaving as any kind of cover from the media, but rather about trying to save his family.

There's zero difference between Vrabel being present tomorrow and having Wolf do the press conference, and him being gone tomorrow and having Wolf do the press conference.

Because it’s not about football. It’s about saving Vrabel’s marriage.

It has nothing to do with him speaking to the media, it is all about him speaking to his wife.

We're in complete agreement. I never understood the stance of it being only to avoid the media, as if he needs to be in another state to do that. Just don't go down the hall and talk to them. Problem solved.

They were paying the leaders of the group to show up. They were not paying informants
