2026 Draft: Interior OL

Just what Denver needs, a more dominant OL.

Rob Staton on top IOL options:

The Seahawks won a Super Bowl in part because of great play in the trenches and physical domination of opponents. Adding to that strength would be understandable. [RG Anthony] Bradford is out of contract in 12 months and seems somewhat unlikely to be extended. Drafting a player who can be cost-effective for the next four years would potentially set up your line for the next half-decade[_u], with your two guards on cheap rookie deals for the imminent future.

Character stuff from The Beast on 30 visit Jeremiah Wright.

  • Mean dude — isn’t shy about working through the whistle
  • Beloved in the program and earned high character marks (NFL scout: “One of the staff’s favorites … awesome worker and guy.”)
  • Fights through minor stuff — started every game the past two seasons

Another 25 year old rookie though.

Rob Rang on Emmanuel Pregnon:

2. Emmanuel Pregnon, Oregon, 6-4, 314, First-Second Round

Folks, I've been scouting college prospects for a quarter-century and I've never seen a guard in person with as imposing a frame as Pregnon, who began his college career at Wyoming and excelled in transfers up to USC and Oregon over the past three years. The highly intense and muscle-laden Pregnon has experience starting at both left and right guard and combines a brawler's mentality with impressive radar, efficiently scooping and securing defenders while on the move.

Taking a 24 year old guard at the end of the first round is giving me terrible flashbacks. Would be an awful use of resources.

Really interesting set of profiles looking at relative fit for Sean Payton and GM George Paton:

Of note, mentions that Keylan Rutledge modeled his finish after Quin Meinerz.
