2026 Draft: EDGE

If I were an NFL team, I would not touch Bain in the first 30 picks.

I say we use our pick to claim the rights of Colin Simmons now.

What we cant do that?

I remember Lance Zierlein asking some years ago, "Can we just give Christian McCaffrey to the Patriots and take a draft pick away from them now? Maybe shaves off 10-15 minutes from draft"

This was the December before that draft. He even suggested an Amazon Prime-like feature so they could get him the next day.

With Eliot Wolf talking about speed at EDGE

Malachi Lawrence - 4.52
Trey Moore - 4.54
Cashius Howell - 4.59
Logan Fano - 4.59 (Also had fastest 10 yd split @ 1.56)
DDS - 4.63
Jayshawn Barham - 4.64
Romello Height - 4.64
Gabe Jacas - 4.65
George Gumbs - 4.66
R Mason Thomas - 4.67

He didn't test, but Keyron Crawford had one of the best in-game speed scores among draft EDGEs along with Keyshawn James-Newby.

As for 10 yard splits, Lawrence, Jacas, Howell, Moore, Barham and Parker are tops.

Eliot Wolf: "I never want a smaller guy".

I wonder if that eliminates Height, Barham, Mason Thomas and Trey Moore. Maybe Howell too.

Zion Young's 1.72 looks awful compared, and his explosion numbers weren't great either. Does it take him off the board?

Not completely but it definitely drops him behind others for me.
