2026 Draft: WR

A boost for the Cyrus Allen crowd.

Nick Cattles in his latest pod, citing tweets from Mike Giardi, is reporting the Patriots are looking at Romeo Doubs as an X receiver rather than as a like for like replacement for Diggs. Boutte/Williams would then take on the Z leaving the slot for Pop/Chism. Well Pop is out of contract at the end of the year and Chism hasn't fully claimed his place.

I just found that interesting when relating it to the recent Cyrus Allen visit. He's really a slot only guy but is a very good separator.

I assume this is the non-AJ Brown alternative route.

Doubs is not an X receiver: he wouldn't play that position the "X" better than Boutte or Williams. On Cyrus Allen you can see his Elite separation skills on tape also a the Senior Bowl. I wouldn't mind both He and Jeff Caldwell on this Team. The two Cincinnati boys.

I like Zachariah Branch's explosion & athleticism but those are some challenging Reception Perception charts.

Explosive? But he's not winning on those outside routes like the Post, Corner and the Nine.

Maybe he's more of a quicks guy in short areas like an Edelman. Looks like Screens, Digs, Comebacks, and Flat routes are his bread and butter.

Chris Bell looks like he would be a very nice addition to our WR Corps. His draft position might also drop compared to his actual talent level due to injury concerns. But if he comes back healthy he could be a bargain pickup.
Would love him learning from A.J. Brown for three years or four.

Daniel Jeremiah on Stribling

He especially sounded excited about Stribling, who has helped his cause a lot since the end of the season, running a 4.36-second 40-yard dash at the NFL Scouting Combine.

"The more you watched him, the more you liked him, at least for me," Jeremiah said of Stribling. "He catches everything. ... What also has helped him has been meeting with teams, (they) have been impressed with how football-intelligent he is."

I feel like we need 5 3rd round picks. I see no other way to feel good about this Draft.

Maybe 2nd
Good luck to the Team that selects him there workout warrior?? I think Bryce Lance and Josh Cameron were better College Receivers.

It’s always an evaluation that is hard to get right.
I like Lance, he was very productive but played much weaker competition, which will be factored into the equation.

The same can be said for Ted Hurst who didn't look lost against better competition in practices and workouts.

Stribling had 2 very good games against Georgia, that definitely will get the attention of NFL GMs.
