Your logic cuts both ways: if we can't make any judgments without being party to the relationship, then the people dismissing this as a nothingburger are equally out of bounds because they're also not party to it.

Vrabel is a public figure in a high-profile industry; Russini covers that industry. The reporting is based on real photographs, not speculation. Observing that a situation looks a certain way isn't the same as claiming certainty about what it is.

And to your question, no, I don't want anyone deciding what's okay for me, or anyone else, to do in my/their private life. But that's not what's happening here - nobody is dictating anything to Vrabel - they are simply analyzing photos taken of him making choices on his own and drawing their own conclusions, which is a perfectly natural thing on a discussionboard.

If I were photographed in a similar situation, I'd either own it or explain what I was doing. If there was a good explanation, I'd provide it. And if I was caught doing wrong, I certainly wouldn't hide behind 'you're not party to my relationship' as a defense of my transgression.
