Russini & Vrabel Nothing to see here?

See you guys keep adding more and more details the further this thread goes that add more damning evidence and are convincing me it is as bad as it looks. I am starting to have my mind changed. This went from me defending a still shot of a hug and tanning at a pool to all this other evidence: romantic getaway, only reachable by two rooms, drove two hours away, were in a hotbut by themselves, etc. That's all I asked for. As long as all these things are TRUE and not assumptions then I'm convinced it's an affair
Hotbut not hot tub?

That actually sounds worse.

Look if you had to explain romantic getaway to someone from Mars (which I might as well be in this context) you might distinguish whether the location is a romantic getaway or the intent between the two is a romantic getaway. Can you at least meet me halfway there? Is that not a fair question?

Looking forward to when the draft gets here, although still a couple of weeks to go before we get there.
Rough week for you around here with the whole Ivey/Henderson thing and now this lol

I don't care that he's ****ing this woman. I don't care that she's ****ing this man. Cheating is a problem for the two of them to be dealing with the fall out today all on their own with their spouses.

What I care about is the total lack of professionalism from both of them and the lack of disclosure they have in regards to their private relationship. That's weak sauce and I'm embarrassed that this man is gonna preach accountability and entitlement removal when he acts like a 22 year old frat boy pig.
This is pretty much the issue for me here. In the grand scheme of things the affair on its own isn't what matters to me (as a Patriots fan) it's that it does bring accountability and integrity into question. IMO if I'm a player I'm less likely to take those things seriously when you can't even respect the vow you made to your wife.

And I'm not trying to get into a theology debate here but being Catholic myself, and him being Catholic, this is way more serious of a breach than just any other affair. To put it simply, marriage in the Church is more "permanent" than other people outside of the Church see it. There's no divorce, you're married for life. So this is a serious serious matter, and maybe I'm just hoping against hope that he didn't do this so it doesn't permanently damage his marriage and relationship with his kids

Those expressions are too dreamy eyed for a business meeting.
They might still be guilty as sin, but that pic is clearly a photoshop of the CEO and his mistress at the Coldplay concert a while back.

I hope people realize this stuff is AI generated lol
Yeah you'd think it's an obvious poke at the Coldplay concert but some people will run with it

The only one who is "totally wrong" here is the person claiming to know with certainty how others would perceive such a hypothetical situation.

You, nor I, can say with certainty how others would perceive this situation if the woman was Gugerian instead of Russini. But I am "pretty sure" (not "certain") that the optics would still be problematic.

This wasn't a sit-down dinner - this was a full-body embrace, alone on a rooftop only accessible via private rooms, at a resort known as a romantic getaway. If Vrabel appeared with any woman under such circumstances, it would almost certainly raise eyebrows.

You are completely and utterly wrong. Better?

I

If they were staying in the same room, the photographer would have leaked that. If they were staying in adjoining rooms, the photographer would have leaked that. If they were there all by themselves for an overnight meeting, the photographer would have leaked that. If they were walking around for a couple of days, we would have more pictures. If they checked in at the same time, ........

On and on and on.
Right... the photographer/"spy" has all the info but only leaked very specific small pieces of information, and then they had to go get secondary information from other "eyewitnesses" who also had vague, small pieces of information without actual hard evidence. And all of it is being sold to the New York Post, who are not exactly going to paint the head coach of the New England Patriots in a positive light. They could easily just be providing the "worst" parts and hoping you will fill in the blanks with your imagination, which many are.

It's entirely possible that it's as bad as many want to believe, but if you view it with a critical eye, there are a lot of holes so I'm reserving judgement on this one. I'm sure we'll get a more detailed statement at some point.

Honestly, Dianna made a bad move there as well. Like a couple of other people have mentioned, while her editor came to her defense, I'd be surprised if this doesn't take her completely off the Patriots beat, because as others pointed out, it will be tough for her to report on anything with the team without this being mentioned.

This just made her job a little more difficult and took away a connection that would have given her an edge. Vrabel will likely be fine regardless, but for her, it's definitely much more complicated, and she has more to lose professionally than he does.

It's unfortunate because it's hard enough being a woman in a media landscape that's already slowly contracting as it is. Especially given how competitive it is for her and other women in her field, and the fact that she already seemingly had one incident that is now going to be back in the spotlight. Definitely not a great situation.
People like her that abuse that side of things with using physical persuasion make it very difficult on other women in the field. This is how unfair stereotypes start.

Sean Salisbury's book a while back talked about Namath and Suzy Kolber and it went way beyond "I wanna kiss you"... I bet stuff like this happens a lot around the league.

Fair enough. To answer: The location is considered a romantic getaway. Two person bungalows. No children allowed. Secluded location away from the cities with beautiful views. Spas on site. Hot tubs on site. This isn’t a place a guy goes to with his buddies.

If the exact same incident happened at the Arizona Biltmore (where they held the owners meeting) I would find alternate explanations far more plausible. It would make sense that they coincidentally ran into each other at the meetings. I don’t buy that they coincidentally ran into each other at a hotel 2 hours north of the meetings.

See I was just thinking this was the same hotel (or close enough to the owners meeting) that there may be a bunch of coaches and reporters there. But yeah. Knowing all this it's pretty easy to connect the dots

What's with the coaches in Boston ****ing the staff or their industry co workers?

Ime with the Celtics.

John Farrell with the Sox

Now Vrabel

Who knows what the other coaches have done that managed to keep secret.

I doubt it’s unique to Boston. Belichick (allegedly) had an affair with a coworker when he was with the Giants.

Showered her with gifts and cash too. That sounds familiar...
