Russini & Vrabel Nothing to see here?

you're missing my point.......i don't care what russini does, it doesn't change my view of her as a reporter one way or another.....nor do i care what vraebel does......

not everything is a scandal........even IF they were having an affair, it doesn't matter.......strangely enough, i think russini can do her job and be friendly with male coaches, and i think she could even have consensual relations with a coach and still do her job.......same for vraebel - it's jut not my business, and nothing they are doing is changing the world one way or another

Some on here will twist themselves into pretzels to deny the obvious if it means defending the flying Elvis. Where there is smoke there is fire. There is a very strong chance that this is what it looks like and to pretend otherwise is just being deliberately obtuse. Is it a huge deal in the grand scheme of things? No. Is it a good luck for either side? Not at all. Vrabel always talks about representing the team and family and all that so to get caught doing this looks even worse.

Not sure how to conclude anything other than an affair at this point.

The disappointment is Vrabel's whole team culture is all about family, loyalty, and making smart decisions on and off the field. This, by and large, is the complete opposite in all aspects. His message might now ring hollow with players.

When you base your whole image and leadership on values and great decisions, you need to hold yourself to a standard.

Plus, Vrabel's life turning upside down can affect his ability to be the best coach he can be.

I was dismissive of the story yesterday then started to think this way that even if nothing happened the optic sows doubt and that is the part that needs watching. His brand of leadership depends on it. What was his message again after the boat incident with Diggs?
If you read this, family and loyalty were cited by many as main reason they follow him.

These pictures also seems deliberate, don’t believe a paparazzi just got lucky, someone knew they were meeting or suspected they were meeting and set it up perfectly. The excuse that they were there with others is not holding as zoomed pictures shows them alone in several settings. More pictures are being released and best if they keep quiet at this point. A spouse may be behind these releases.

"family & loyalty" in this case refers to the team themselves being family, and loyalty to each other.......i have never seen professional athletes as a group worry about things like potential affairs.......hell, I HAVE heard potential athletes joke, for better or for worse, about their exploits while on the road, though

this is a nothing even if it is a something
 
Who cares? Unless he violated team or NFL rules this is a private matter that he will have to deal with. I'm sure his wife is on his ass. That in and of itself is enough punishement.
 
Not to be naive but a lot of terminally online nerds who can't see women as friends can make this look a lot worse than it is. It could be an affair, but nothing in the pictures suggests it. If you think hugging a woman means you're having an affair with her you need to get out more

The obvious? What did I miss that obviously points to an affair here? This isn't just about "defending the flying Elvis" this is about a larger conversation of being friends with the other gender. If you believe you can be friends and nothing more, there's nothing to see here. If you think men and women can't be friends without wanting to have sex with each other you will project onto this and assume the worst
 


The tabloid Post calls this "holding hands". There's quite a big difference between this and what I'd call holding hands in a romantic way.

Possible that they arrived separately as they said and here they agreed to meet up on these rooftops to chat and look at this scenery which is amazing. It's not like there was a kiss or the tabloid 100% would have caught it on camera. But yeah it doesn't rule out the worst case scenario that many are talking about. I'm sure he'll have to explain what this was to his wife. I wouldn't exactly be thrilled with this either if I was in their SO's shoes...
