2026 Draft: EDGE

I do like KJN, but Nadame is my boy.

I think KJN probably generates more consistent pressure but Tucker is more explosive and a better finisher. KJN is better at setting the edge, but KJN has hit his ceiling whereas Tucker is only getting started, despite being an older prospect

Chris Trapasso EDGE rankings:

He's not a fan of Rueben Bain (EDGE8), Akheem Mesidor (EDGE12), or Gabe Jacas (EDGE15).

And that is why I don't want Moore..

Also, I have an aversion to Michigan LBs since the last 4 the Pats drafted have been under-whelming. (Crable, Winovich, Uche, McGrone).

I saw stuff to like from Gumbs but I wasn't blown away. If we're double dipping, I'd take him as the second EDGE, but not as our only solution.

the two EDGE rushers I like the most haven't even done the 3-cone so I can't really comment except to say that R Mason Thomas' wins come from mainly bending the corner so his 7.4 3-cone isn't very impressive. At least Jacas and Mesidor have other tools in their arsenal.

Faulk at 2 surprises me a little. It's good to see Trey Moore right up there as the best value proposition.

A word on Gabe Jacas. SRAM (sack rate as modified) is the pass rush element of the Sackseer projection and Jacas actually finishes 3rd behind only Mesidor and Bailey. Where Jacas's score is let down is by the 'explosion' score. I wonder if this was put together before his pro day and thus doesn't take into account his 1.59 10 split.

My guess is that it was done before the special workout.. I'm not finding any info that he did the Vertical or Broad jump.. Two other indicators of explosiveness.

He only did the running. Not the jumps or agility.

A Zion Young/Keldric Faulk tweet.

Did I see someone say that Vrabel and Brett Bielema are good friends?

That could explain why Gabe Jacas isn't on the contacts list.

Edit: I did a search and couldn't find anything so maybe it was someone else.

BB brought him in 5 seconds after Arkansas fired him. Got a SB ring and left for another HC job. Vrabel hired one of Bielema's staffers in 2025, still here, Kevin Richardson, ass't defensive backs.

Someone recently did say on here that Vrabel was best friends with someone in college football.

Edit: Ok, forget everything I said. It was Luke Fickell.
