2026 Draft: EDGE

I love that list, since DDS doesn't even make his top 15 (which excludes Arvell Reese).

I have never seen eye-to-eye with Sikkema and Rogers.

The consensus board has DDS at 12th so it's not a stretch for him to fall out of the top 15. As for Reese, the consensus is increasingly that he's an off ball linebacker rather than EDGE.

I am much higher on both DDS and Keyron Crawford than many, which is one reason I prefer not to go EDGE round 2, unless Mesidor slips. I think the chances of getting 1 of DDS, Crawford, or Derrick Moore at 63 are pretty high. I am comfortable waiting it out.

I am also much lower on Zion Young than most. He looks like a high effort clean-up guy to me, and his 1.72 10-split is egregious. He's basically off my board. To quote one of the smartest draftniks around, "there have been many bad pass rushers with good 10 yard splits, but as this shows, not many good ones with bad 10 splits." Yet even this guy includes Young fairly high on his list. Maybe Young will be Chandler Jones II (1.69 10-split), but I don't see it.

You really are fixated on my 10 yard split thing. If you'll notice, Young is behind a bunch of edge rushers. He's still a very solid EDGE guy but I like others more because of that 10 split.

As for DDS, Moore and Crawford, they're a step down from guys like Jacas, Parker and Lawrence which makes it a compromise I'm less comfortable with.

No, I just think Young is so slow he's almost off my board.

I like the idea of young but feel like we had that with White. Although I think Young is a better version

Rob Rang on Gabe Jacas:

It isn't often that one can use the expression "Led the Big Ten in sacks" and "underrated" to describe the same player but that is the case with Jacas, a team captain who leaves Illinois with 27 career sacks and seven forced fumbles, each of which rank among the best in program history. Jacas' production screams first round pick but because he has not been able to workout for scouts, some in the media have apparently forgotten about him. I doubt the Seahawks have. I love the 6-foot-4, 260-pounders' physicality, awareness and dependability. In an edge rusher class full of high-ceiling, low-floor gambles, Jacas (pronounced Ack-us) is the no-frills safety net.

Mayo and I going at it over who we get at 31 through our avatars Max Iheanachor and Gabe Jacas.

We both like both. Just a small matter of order.

I am fine with either order at 31 and 63, as long as they last.

I would be willing to settle for David Bailey and Monroe Freeling, too.

Depending on what happens with Jacas' pro day today, I'm fine with Iheanachor/Miller at 31 and a trade up for Jacas in round 2.
