Just couldn’t keep his foot outta his mouth, huh?

I have to assume Vrabel is going to ensure he shuts the eff up when it comes to personal beliefs and opinions from here on out.

Thoughts? (apologies if this is in the wrong forum; wasn’t sure where else to put it)

TreVeyon posted some Bible verses. That shouldn't bother you this much.

Oh Boy. Religion and Politics always gets a bit testy on here
Got my popcorn out for this one
My take on this. I’ll pass

Tre will be possibly quoting more scripture, since it is Passover, Good Friday and Easter Sunday week.
That is, unless Vrabel “educated” him a thing or two.

Vrabel's only comment was decidedly neutral. Whether or not anything was exchanged in private, I have no idea:

I love TreVeyon… He cares deeply about his faith… I want them to be able to express what they believe… But, I also wanna make sure that they’re educated. We want to be inclusive.” - Coach Vrabel

I went to the Celtics game Friday night & it was pride night, so I spent halftime in line in the hall getting a snack

I support both Ivey & Henderson, because they said nothing that organized religions don’t say

If you are going to have a pride night, have it where it is wanted……. The WNBA

I have nothing against gay people, but that doesn’t mean I want to pay a couple hundred bucks to see them at a basketball game

I go to watch the sports & I don’t want to be force fed politics or sexuality

He posted on an image of a player who got fired for homophobic remarks. It was clearly a message.
There's nothing wrong with that. And I'm sure TreVeyon believes it's homosexuality and trans is a sin like what's in the Bible.

It's funny how bigots will complain about the pro gay and pro trans stuff being "shoved down their throats" without being smart enough to understand that it's being pushed because of people like them and their bigotry. There is a push to acknowledge/accept/respect gay and trans people because of the bigots who refused to do so. If bigots would shut the **** up and just keep their views to themselves and not use it as an excuse to marginalize or disrespect others, there would be no need to "shove this down their throat". But rather than acknowledge themselves as the villain, it's easier for people like this to make themselves out to be the victim here because they're forced to see and hear things they don't support.

If you have a problem with the LGBTQ content you see, take it out on the bigots who make it something people feel the need to produce.

That's his opinion and other people are allowed to have their own opinion that he's a bigoted homophobe and think negatively of him as well. Works both ways and he is in a profession where he's part of a product and represents a team that is trying to get customers to buy said product.

People I've seen treat gay people pretty well in public. I'm sure Ivey and Henderson do as well. But we're allowed to believe and say that we believe homosexual acts and trans are sins.

I've been friends with adulterers, drug addicts and alcoholics. I didn't agree with their sin or accept and respect their sin. But I treated them as well as any other human being.

I'm a wretched sinner myself. I deserve Hell for my sins against a Holy God. But Christ died so that sinners might repent and be saved. This is what Christians believe.

What did he say that was homophobic ?
Non righteous?

Not everyone is gay & religion has not taken the acceptance of the public into consideration

When I go to sporting events, I don’t want to force fed politics & sexuality

A few years ago, I went to a redsox game & I had to sit through this women getting a made up award to honor her

I went to see MLB not BLM

Where is that women today?

Hiding behind religion to show your bigotary is a coward's move.
No, not really. He could just be very religious. His religion makes a pretty clear stance on LGBT, one that I personally do not and have never agreed with. But being very religious and speaking about a clear principle of your religion does not make someone a coward, just religious.

You really don't understand that he literally posted a picture of a guy who just got fired for being grossly homophobic and used a bible verse to defend him and say he was "persecuted for righteousness sake". Aka calling that players homophobia righteous.

Sounds the rest of that is a you problem and you might want to skip games that are promoting social causes

Hate crimes still get committed everyday. Discrimination is still pretty prevalent. You can't bury your head in the sane and pretend that isn't real. That's very good that you still treat gay people with respect, even if you disagree with their lifestyle, but you have to understand that you don't represent everyone. It still happens enough that it's a serious problem. Just like racism, sexism, etc.

We all get treated badly at times. For all kinds of reasons. I do, you do. Man, that's life. And I'm sure it happens occaisionally for lgbtq reasons, but I just haven't seen it in public.

I know a couple of lesbians. They're not together, I know them separately. I get along with them and they're nice to me. I've never witnessed them being mistreated. And yes, We should treat each other right.
