2026 Pre-Draft Meetings

@manxman2601 and @mayoclinic - of the guys the Pats drafted last year, how many of them did the Pats have zero contact with or met only at the Shrine Game or Senior Bowl?

Kyle Williams had 3 contacts (senior bowl, combine, visit).

Will Campbell had a 30 visit and was worked out by Vrabel either at the combine or after.

Joshua Farmer had a 30 visit.

Craig Woodson had a 30 visit but we never knew about it.

Bradyn Swinson met with us at the combine and had zoom calls around the pro day time.

I don't know of any contact with Jared Wilson and I know Henderson was surprised when we drafted him because we had zero contact with him.

Andy borregales was worked out by Jeremy Springer.

So, the lack of breadcrumbs around LBs may just be the Patriots trying to not tip their hand to get the guy they want.

It's possible. We only have 10 of 30 visits so far so they have limited utility for now. They're not going to give up on BPA just because they have a different plan. The contacts suggest they're looking at a day 3 linebacker, but if Rodriguez or Hill are there at 63, they might see that as too good to pass up on.

They look worn out and it's still March. 4 weeks and 1 day. One looks like he's checking to see if anyone would notice if he left for 9 holes and the other one is zoned out dreaming he's at Cheerleader shoot on the Seychelles Islands.

Wouldn't mind being at that shoot.. even if it was to hand the ladies water bottle.
 
Patriots receiver coach present for Jeff Caldwell but that might not be a good thing according to Tony Pauline.

The Cincinnati Bengals, New York Giants, Minnesota Vikings, New England Patriots, and New Orleans Saints all had their receivers coaches in attendance for Jeff Caldwell.

You may remember that the transfer from Lindenwood turned in an incredible combined workout timing, 4.31 seconds in the 40 and hitting 42 inches in the vertical jump and 11 feet 2 inches in the broad jump after measuring just under 6 feet 5.5 inches and 216 pounds. Tuesday was a different story, as Caldwell struggled in position drills and had a lot of dropped passes.
