Pundit mock drafts 2026 [maybe with FAILs]

Chad Reuter 4 round mock:

For the Pats:

31. Max Iheanachor. OT, Arizona St.
63. Sam Roush, TE, Stanford
95. Bryce Lance, EDGE, N. Dakota St.
125. Caden Curry, EDGE, Ohio St.
131. Nicholas Singleton, RB, Penn St.

Iheanachor all the way for me.

I love Sam Roush, but EDGEs Malachi Lawrence (64), Dani Dennis-Sutton (69), Gabe Jacas (83), LB Jake Golday (66) and WR Chris Bell (73) are all still on the board.

31. Max Iheanachor
63. DDS, Jacas, or Lawrence
95. Mike Washington, RB, Arkansas (96)
125. Ted Hurst, WR, Georgia St. (129)
131. Kaleb Elarms-Orr, LB, TCU (not listed)

Iheanachor, Hurst and Washington on offense is a wet dream.

DDS/Jacas/Lawrence and a fast, rangy LB with coverage skills like Elarms-Orr is equally good on defense.

Treydan Stukes, Keionte Scott, Kyle Louis, Zakee Wheatley and VJ Payne all fell between the picks.

Also of note, Reuter had DeZhaun Stribling going 36 and Demonte Capehart 49.
Agreed, would not take Roush over the edge, LBs or WRs on the board, however I am intrigued with Lance. Too many intriguing TEs in the draft to take Roush over those other positions.
Love the Singleton pick

Not exactly a mock draft, but Chad Graff has posted an updated "draft board": 5 players for each of the first 3 rounds. Explanations in the link.

Round 1
EDGE TJ Parker, Clemson
EDGE Zion Young, Missouri
WR KC Concepcion, Texas A&M
OT Max Iheanachor, Arizona State
DT Peter Woods, Clemson

Round 2
EDGE Joshua Josephs, Tennessee
WR Elijah Sarratt, Indiana
DT Gracen Halton, Oklahoma
TE Max Klare, Ohio State
LB Josiah Trotter, Missouri

Round 3
S Zakee Wheatley, Penn State
OT Dametrious Crownover, Texas A&M
TE Justin Joly, NC State
LB Deontae Lawson, Alabama
CB Will Lee III, Texas A&M

There is a mock draft on Twitter/X with different team "experts" as the GMs
Draft Utopia is the GM for the Pats

31. Anthony Hill ILB
63. Elijah Saratt WR
95. Caleb Tiernan OT
104. Logan Jones C
171. Josh Moten CB
188. Michael Heldman Edge
191. Trade for 196 and 234
196. Pat Coogan with the thought of moving to OG
198. Aaron Graves DT

It's kinda hard to follow, but I hate it

1. What happened to their fourth round pick?
2. Yeah, the Pats really need to trade down to get more of those late day 3 picks.

Wow. King of the Worst. Draft Utopia must be a bunch of Pats haters.

Alex Barth's latest mock.

Four picks the same as in my latest mock so obviously I approve. And, if you can get Blake Miller and Gabe Jacas in the same draft, that's a win-win-win.

It's a very good mock:

- OT at 31, EDGE at 63 is my preference. Max Iheanachor and DDS are my guys, but Miller and Jacas works.

- Sam Roush, DeZhaun Stribling and Adam Randall all on my near-binky list.

- Thomas, Barton and Marshall all solid late round defensive depth additions.

The Pats will not be able to address every need. It's more important to hit on good players. This mock does that.

A mock that keeps both Manx and me happy is a good achievement.

In his latest mock Todd McShay has Mesidor, Parker, Young and Jacas all going before pick 31. This is why i'm nervous about waiting until 63 for an edge rusher.

From my perspective, that is a great scenario - right up till the point where he mocks Cashius Howell to the Pats. There's your EDGE, and I want to vomit.

You seem to be going from BPA to EDGE at 31 at all costs. I personally think that's a big mistake.

I don't not have a 1st round grade on Parker, Young, or Jacas, so I'm thrilled if they go off the board early- it pushes better players down to us.

Max Iheanachor and Caleb Banks are both still on the board at 31. DDS, Malachi Lawrence, and Derrick Moore are still available.

I think the worst thing a team can do is panic and reach for a lesser player at any given position because there has been a run on that position. That path leads to Jaylinn Polk and Caedan Wallace.

For me, I take Iheanachor, because he is the highest graded player at a position of need on my board. I have Banks graded higher, but the medicals drop him. I would consider trading up for an EDGE in round 2 if possible.

If you want to take an EDGE such as Lawrence, DDS, or even Howell because they're BPA on your board, fine. But don't reach for one because there has been a run on the position.

I think the EDGEs are BPA. I don't see any difference between Jacas and Miller/Iheanachor. It's also true that the FO left us with one gaping need, just as they did last year. I can get on board with taking a RT at 31 and trading up for an EDGe, provided you can guarantee the EDGE. I think that's too risky.

Then you take an EDGE, I do not. But either way, it has little to do with there having been a run on the position. There was a run on OTs as well.

I have Iheanachor as BPA. If you have Cashius Howell, then go ahead and take him.

No, it's not the end of the world.

I don't have Howell ahead of Miller/Iheanachor. I would take them over him.
