2026 Draft: WR

It does a bit but then you just have to go back to the tape. I think the record setting at the combine is scaring agents who know their clients can't compete against those numbers and, while I think teams won't care that much, the agents are scared of the narrative that will surround their client.

The problem is that it was a record setting combine because only the people who knew they were fast ran....makes the numbers for comparison useless.

For a guy that already had speed/separation concerns all it makes you wonder is how bad is his speed. If we went out an ran 4.6, well that would be about what everyone kinda expected...but not running at all just makes you wonder.

My main issue with Boston is that I have Chris Bell and Ted Hurst graded higher than Boston as X receivers, and both may be available later.

My take on the X:

Group A: 3 starters:

1a. Ted Hurst
1b. Chris Bell (would be 1a if not for injury)
3. Denzel Boston

Group B: 4 guys with starter potential but who I'm personally not that high on or who scare me:

- Chris Brazzell
- Ja'Kobi Lane
- Malachi Fields
- Bryce Lance

Group C: Developmental guys who probably won't contribute much right away, but who have a ton of upside:

- Jeff Caldwell
- Josh Cameron
- Reggie Virgil
- J. Michael Sturdivant
- CJ Daniels
- Eric McAlister

For me, I don't touch group B before the 4th round, and likely go from Group A to Group C.

Obviously, if you feel differently about the Group B guys, that changes the picture considerably.
Totally agree with the take on Tennessee's Chris Brazzell. Their WR's have not been good in the Pros lately. M Fields - B Lance and Ja'Kobi Lane are all intriguing: could probably get one in the Fourth Round. I really hope we Double Dip @ WR because Barefoot and Boutte are most likely gone after this year Pop Douglas also.

Did not attempt, agents decision (presumably.)
With our history with Washington WR that Polk disaster... a 40 will have to factor in the final decision.

You forgot De'Zhaun Stribling 6-2 207.

He didn't run. I think you have to assume 4.5's or worse.

As Manx says, tape is king.

I just said, have to assume 4.5 or worse. Say 4.58 as a guess.

I'm becoming increasingly convinced that when it's all said and done Chris Brazzell will be the best WR from this class...

If not an EDGE (assuming EDGE not taken in the 1st round), my top options at 63 would be, in rough order:

- DT Caleb Banks (if he slips)
- S Treydan Stukes
- WR Chris Bell or Ted Hurst
- RB Mike Washington
- TE Eli Stowers or Sam Roush

I would take a LB at 63 ahead of a RB, depending which LBs are left of course.
Personal preference of course, I'm neither right nor wrong.

Good call, my omission. Updated 63 non-EDGE list:

- DT Caleb Banks (if he slips)
- S Treydan Stukes
- WR Chris Bell or Ted Hurst
- LB Jake Golday or Jacob Rodriguez
- RB Mike Washington
- TE Eli Stowers or Sam Roush
