2026 Pre-Draft Meetings

Over the course of the past two days, King met with the New England Patriots, Dallas Cowboys, Indianapolis Colts, and Minnesota Vikings. King has been lauded for his leadership and toughness by scouts.

The New England Patriots pulled (Mike) Washington aside and did specific one-on-one drills with him. The team had a formal interview with Washington during the combine and met with him on Thursday, the day prior to pro day, doing film work with the ball carrier.

Early patterns, although take with a pinch of salt, because I think we're missing a lot.

1. Plenty of interest in Arkansas RB Mike Washington which is interesting.

2. We're all over first round pass rushers and even 2nd-3rd round edges too.

3. Interest in an athletic day 3 3-tech.

4. Interest in a day 3 OT.

5. Interest in a mid round guard.

6. Very little interest in round 1 RT so far, but a) combine interviews were at the weekend when all the Patriots press had gone home so we may have just missed info on any meetings and b) it's still early.

7. Day 3 WR and CB contacts only so far.

8. A couple of mid round TEs.

Not being harsh at all because 7.64 is terrible for his size, but he could have an insane amount of functional strength and agility is not his game. not likely but Just throwing out possibilities

I'm more impressed by the 35" vert for sure.

I was just researching Memphis RT Travis Burke when this news dropped.



That will be our second contact with him after a pro day contact too. I'll put a post up about him, but he's becoming my favourite mid-late round RT prospect.

Meh. 6-5, 305, zero sacks and a 6th year senior.

Edge rusher Bryan Thomas, son of former New York Jets 2002 first-round pick Bryan Thomas, measured just under 6-foot-2 and 240 pounds. He timed 4.77 in the forty, 4.41 in the short shuttle, and completed 22 reps on the bench press. Among the teams Thomas met with at pro day were the New York Jets and New England Patriots.
