2026 Draft: Linebacker

There is no right answer. But I worry about the state of the OT position, protecting Drake Maye is priority #1 for me, there are roughly 7 guys who could go 1st round and nothing after that.

Trey Moore, Texas

6-3, 249

230 snaps at off ball linebacker
205 snaps at EDGE

27 pressures on only 120 snaps. That's a pressure every 4.4 pass rushing snaps. As far as I can see, that's better than any leading pass rusher in this draft.

A Tavai replacement that can offer something as a designated pass rusher.

He's an elite athlete according to RAS, only let dwn by his size.

I heard Trevor Sikkema and Connor Rogers raving about a play CJ Allen made against Penn State and I wonder if this is the one.

Great way to get all your favorite clips in.

Yeah you’re right - I was tired at not paying attention. Doh!
From a quick google check PSU hasn't played UG since 2016, so those guys must of had the team wrong.

If what you say is true, and I believe that it is, there is a right answer. It is to draft an OT in the first round if an acceptable OT is available to us.

And yes, I understand that this could change if one of Vrabel's top EDGE prospect slides enough.

Let's be fair to Moses. I'm 100% fine with him starting this year and next. I also think that it is possible that he could retire at any time. He does have that right at this point in his career. He certainly gave us his all in 2025.

I'm 100% RT if one of the "big 4" (Freeling, Iheanachor, Lomu, Miller, probably in that order) is available. Would take them over Faulk, Mesidor, DDS, Parker, Lawrence, Jacas and Young (my preferred EDGE order after Reese, Bailey and Bain).

I have to agree with this approach. I feel like there is a steeper drop off with the tackles whereas others assure that DDS will be available at 63.

Some in the media are convinced that we are going edge with the first pick, but I think it depends on the board.

100%, it all depends on what happens in front of us, can’t reach for need.
I wouldn’t assure DDS will be there, I would say it’s 50/50 right now, but I would lean to him being there.

Vrabel would love him but I doubt he'll be available.

So who would you take between CJ Allen and Jacob Rodriguez?
Tough one. Probably Rodriguez because of his athleticism but Allen is going to be the guy that leads your defense for a decade. Rodriguez is no slouch in the intangibles department though. Tags are touching.
