2026 Draft: WR

Thank you, but I don't have a monopoly on being right. Right now, my guess is that we don't invest highly in a WR with AJ Brown being such a target.

Also, I definitely do not think you are naive or dumb!
Thanks manxman ! It’ll be interesting to see if the trade happens after June 1st. Obviously that means we will select someone with our 2026 first round pick, and maybe our first round pick in 2027 will go for Brown.

My hopes are they select a WR and a pass catching TE in the first 3 rounds. I want a more explosive offense that can score more than 14 points a game in the playoffs.

Now that we have our blocking TE there will be some good pass catching TEs available round 4 and beyond.
I prefer we wait unless an absolute value (say Stowers) falls into our laps.

This WR Class is shaping up nicely: I would take Ted Hurst @ 31 just on Potential alone. I think he's going to Translate: you can't Teach what he's Gifted with Size and Speed. The Team that get's Ted Hurst is getting a Big Time Player the next TO. I really hope that Team is us: Hurst have won be over just like A.J. Brown and George Pickens PreDraft: I'm sold.
I don’t think you really grasp how good prime TO was. He was a 5 time first team all pro when Moss, Harrison, Larry Fitzgerald, Megatron, Andre Johnson, Holt and Bruce were all playing, an all decade player, and he is 3rd all time in receiving yardage.

The comparison, even if one are most bullish on Hurst, is silly- even for you.

Again I'm thinking the Potential of Ted Hurst: I hope he doesn't end up in the AFC East if we don't Draft him. He's the next TO in my book: it would be criminal to pass on a talent like that if you can get him.
What makes you say “a talent like that”?
You’re not going to really tell me you watched a bunch of Georgia State games right?
So by talent you mean measurables? Production? Draft write-ups?
Based on that criteria there are lots of talented guys that will be available to us 2nd rd and beyond.
Drafting Hurst at 31 as you suggest is a fireable offense.

Let me say this FTR: Ted Hurst will be an Excellent WR in this League: He has it all. Don't let the level of competition fool you: I have a good feeling about him like I did A.J. Brown and George Pickens. Guys coming from small schools and excelling in this league is not far fetched.

While I don’t agree with this post, it is sound and well reasoned. Nothing silly about this at all. Saying that you are comfortable that he can produce at AJ Brown/ George Pickens levels is bold, but not outlandish.

Yes guys from small schools can succeed.
I’m not saying Hurst won’t succeed.
He will however not be picked in the first rd pick.
There are several other WRs with equal talent, better numbers and better level of competition, so I’m just curious what you meant by “a talent like that”.
I like Hurst, been mocking him to us in my sims for awhile, but most definitely not in the first rd

I get the 31 selection but I'm not opposed to Him in the Second Round. Ted Hurst is my #1 WR in this Draft I love his prospects.

@DaBruinz You were laughing at George Pickens too how's his career going?? Let me remind you one of the Best WR's in this League; that your God BB passed on for an Inferior player. That was the Draft I was absolutely DONE with BB inexcusable.

You should probably take your head out of your own arse and stop making s**t up. I was against Pickens because of the person he is. Not the player. Facts never matter to you. The only reason Pickens hasn't been suspended by the NFL for his off-field antics is because of Jerruh. If Pickens was on any other team, he'd have earned a 4 Game suspension by now.

What's inexcusable is you making s**t up about other posters and attempting to re-write history.

George Pickens have been a BB Choir boy in this League with actual skills. To your dismay of course.

Passing on Pickens (in 2022, and after) entirely reasonable. Talented head case.

Thornton ahead of Alec Pierce irked me in 2022, irks me more now.

Harry ahead of AJ irks me the most.

Different draft. Irk is an understatement.

There you go re-writing history again. Pickens has NOT been a choir boy. You seem to forget that his ass got ejected for an illegal Helmet-to-Helmet hit on Tyler Boyd. You seem to forget that Pickens was traded to Dallas because Pitt got tired of his immaturity.

The only thing that I'm dismayed at is how you continue to lie when it's so easily debunked.

Pitt had so much crap QB's they had resort to old man Rodgers I don't blame Pickens one bit!
