2026 Pro Days

I am watching a podcast with EJ Synder and he said that at the combine he sat with the Next Gen guys and found out that the 10 yd split is done by hand and not laser. I found this pretty interesting

Another fun tidbit from EJ is that they run the agility stuff after everything else. He said Jacob Rodriguez ran his 3-4 SS and then got his 6.9 3C on his 13th attempt. Sounds like they get to keep running it until they get the time they like, but what really stood out to me is that Jacob Rodriguez is a ****ing competitor. After the 40, the jumps, the on field drills he did both agility drills not once to check the box but kept going until he was happy with the result. That sounds like someone who practice hard as hell to ensure they are as close to perfect as they can be.

Clemson pro day numbers. No 3-cone from Adam Randall and TJ Parker. Antonio Williams ran a 6.76 3-cone. Shame he's less of a need now.

Jeadyn Lukus is interesing at corner. 4.41-40 and a 6.95 3cone.

Disappointed that Parker didn't do the Bench or 3-cone.

Peter Woods with a 1.67 10-split and 4.54 SS.

Blake Miller with a 4.65 SS.

Both strong numbers.

@manxman2601 - Any news on the Illinois Pro Day? Really wondering about Jacas...

What to do with Eric Gentry? 6-6, 228 lbs and just ran a 6.76 3-cone!! I'm guessing he can't catch the ball otherwise he'd be an offensive freak. 35.5" arms too.

He was the guy who just stood there for a second and then torpedoed that one play in the highlight vid.. Gotta wonder how fast he processes things and whether he was calling in the defensive adjustments.

Interesting. At the combine they get 3 attempts.

It didn't stop him doing all the other drills.
If you have a slight hamstring injury, the biggest risk is a max effort sprint due to the high eccentric loads. A shuttle, 3 cone or 10y arent't risk free due to the deceleration, but less likely for worsening the injury.

I agree its a little odd on face value, but for me the narrative why he has only done the 10y checks out, and is actually quite an intelligent way to complete the testing for the scouts while managing a minor injury.

So is he capable of covering TEs, RBs and some WRs? The 3 cone doesn't seem to match his reported struggles changing direction in man coverage.
