2026 Draft: Tight Ends

The short arms don't scare me too much. The drop rate doesn't scare me too much. But the combination of the two is definitely worrisome.

But without those factors, he might be the closest thing to a potential Rob Gronkowski in some time.

@manxman2601 @mayoclinic what's the story on this guy TE Joe Royer?? Not going to lie the Cincinnati Players intrigue me Jeff Caldwell - Cyrus Allen now Royer. He started out at Ohio State.

Nothing gets me more excited than watching good blocking tape lol but I am being serious!
We probably don't need him now we've got Gilliam, but go watch Max Bredeson of Michigan. Also Cody Hardy, TE, of NC State. Run blocking porn.

We're going to be looking for a future Hunter Henry replacement at TE. It looks like TE 2 is locked up.

We have our aging vet who is still solid, but not explosive, we signed our blocking TE in Julian Hill, now we need an explosive receiving TE, if he’s a good blocker as well or willing to get better at that, great. There were 15 TEs that ran 4.7 and under. So there are many choices. But MUST get their PASS catching TE of the future. This is an incredibly deep, explosive TE class. If he also happens to be a good blocker, that’s a bonus. But they can’t ignore (AGAIN) a very deep TE class when it’s a huge area of need.

Exactly my thoughts.
There are too many good receiving TEs in the draft to ignore. They don’t need to be great blockers.
Our TE room severely lacks athleticism and youth.
Now that we have our blocker, give me the likes of Gyllengorp, Villari, Stowers, Koziol….etc.
And some of these guys will be available later in the draft (obv not Stowers).
Our signings of Gilliam and Hill should help the blocking immensely, now let’s go get a real receiving threat.

When is Delp's Pro-Day?

Kenyon Sadiq is far and away the best so we can hope he falls to us or we wait until day 3 IMO.
