2026 Mock Draft Thread

Priority UDFA definitely will be a factor given such a deep class.

Capehart and Davis both fine by me. I was so torn.
I think DT is a sneaky need.
I really question if Barmore will be on the team next year.

I think the Pats will live with Barmore for 2026, though you could be right:

Reports are his projected trade value is not high - a day 3 pick.

I was so tempted to take Caleb Banks at 31 and move on from Barmore.

I read a few articles quotes and I can't remember the exact quote on Barmore from Vrabel but it was something like:

We continue to work with him dealing with things off-field....something to that effect.

To me that rings off alarm bells. He's 26, has been in the 5 years and still has to be managed.

I'm not saying we should or will cut bait, but it wouldn't surprise me in the least.

4 round pre-DA mock from A to Z sports:

Picks 63 and 95 very exciting.

My re-do:

31. Akheem Mesidor (41)

63. Ted Hurst, or try to snag Jake Golday (62) if Alec Pierce signs. Or Stukes.

95. Stukes, or Kyle Louis (119) if I take Stukes at 63.

125. Don't like the OT values. Sam Roush (122) in a move up?

131. Devin Moore.

With FA all but over, it's time to get back to draft content so here's my dream mock draft. I've made it consistent with needs and largely consistent with the consensus big board (with one exception).

31. Akheem Mesidor, EDGE, Miami

63. Jacob Rodriguez, LB, Texas Tech

95. Treydan Stukes, S, Arizona

125. Charlie Demmings, CB, Stephen F Austin or Keyron Crawford, EDGE, Auburn

131. Oscar Delp, TE, Georgia

171. Jude Bowry, OT, Boston College

191. Trey Moore, LB/EDGE, Texas

198. Adam Randall, RB, Clemson

202. Will Kacmarek, TE, Ohio State

212. Keagen Trost, OL, Missouri

247. Micah Morris, OG, Georgia or Justin Jefferson, LB, Alabama

1. My exception is Jacob Rodriguez who I doubt falls to 63. If he doesn't, I'd go Stukes at 63 and Kyle Louis at 95 which is probably more likely.

2. Dametrious Crownover was off the board so I went for Jude Bowry at swing tackle. He has the Boston College thing, has experience at both RT and LT and is pretty athletic. didn't love him at the senior bowl though.

3. Trey Moore is the Tavai replacement. He does offer pass rush too.

4. I'm factoring in a post June 1st AJ Brown trade.

Remember, at least up to round 4, this is my dream mock, not necessarily the most realistic.

Good job, hard to complain.
I prefer 2 other TEs, or at least one different.
I have questions on Bowry, I think Fa'aome could be a good guy with positional flexibility.
Maybe he can be a RT, but if not, a good OG.
And we need to draft at least 1 WR, even if it's a mid-late guy like Caldwell, Stribling, Law, The kid out Navy...

I just made an edit saying I was factoring in a post June 1st AJ Brown trade. I just think it's bordering on inevitable.

Which two TEs?

I'm really intrigued with the pass catching ability of guys like Koziol, Gyllengorp, Villari.
They should be later rd guys that could be real seam stretchers.
Or they could suck

I like Bowry, think he's underrated

My dream (not necessarily the most realist, but not impossible):

31. Max Iheanachor, RT, Arizona St.

63. Dani Dennis-Sutton, EDGE, Penn St.

95. Ted Hurst, WR, Georgia Tech OR Treydan Stukes, S, Arizona St.

125. Sam Roush, TE, Stanford

131. Kyle Louis, LB/S, Pittsburgh

171. VJ Payne, S, Kansas St. OR Jeff Caldwell, WR, Cincinnati (depending on choice at 95)

191. Eli Heidenreich, WR, Navy or Cyrus Allen, WR, Cincinnati

202. Adam Randall, RB, Clemson

212. Damonte Capehart, DL, Clemson

246. Micah Morris, IOL, Georgia

Would live to find a way to squeeze Jaren Kanak in as well.

No AJ Brown trade for me.

Jamari Johnson, Austin Siereveld/Carter Smith/Cayden Green, Yhonzae Pierre, Jelani McDonald and Ben Edwards in 2027!

I like the late picks of Randall and Capehart.
Been mocking those 2 late to us often in my sims.
Would still take a long hard look at Singleton if he somehow gets to the 4th.

Not a Singleton fan, but could be wrong.

In my dreams, 2027 would look something like:

QB: Drake Maye, Tommy DeVito
RB: TreVeyon Henderson, Adam Randall, Lan Larison
FB: Reggie Gilliam
TE: Jamari Johnson, Sam Roush, Jaren Kanak
WR: Ted Hurst, Romeo Doubs, Kayshon Boutte, Kyle Williams, Eli Heidenreich, Efton Chism
OL: Will Campbell, AVT, Jared Wilson, Carter Smith, Max Iheanachor, Jedrick Wills, Ben Brown, Micah Morris, Marcus Bryant

DT: Milton Williams, Christian Barmore, Cory Durden, Josh Farmer, Damonte Capehart
EDGE: Dani Dennis-Sutton, Dre'Mont Jones, Yhonzae Pierre, Elijah Ponder, Bradyn Swinson
LB: Robert Spillane, Kyle Louis, Ben Edwards, +1
S: Craig Woodson, Jelani McDonald, VJ Payne, Dell Pettus
CB: Christian Gonzalez, Marcus Jones, plus a bunch of guys

CB a weakness. Feel like we missed some opportunities day 2 of FA to add hood depth/talent with guys like LB Leo Chenal and CB Nahshon Wright.

LB, DT and CB biggest 2028 needs.

Curious what don't you like about Singleton?
He has size, speed, can catch.
A legit 3 down back.

Every time I watched Singleton, he did nothing. Nada. Zilch. Looked like Tarzan, played like Jane. Maybe that was due to injury, but he underwhelmed me in a major way - on my list of guys to avoid. But I could be wrong.

Did my post free agency mock with lots of trade backs of course

As could I.
I see him as a better NFL than college player, but again, I could most certainly be wrong.

Perhaps, but hard to teach 225lbs and 4.35 speed.
I agree, but I was throwing out a reason that someone might not like him. I personally am a fan but he needs a good OL to be successful. As long as the hole is open in front of him he is good, but if he has to cutback to find the hole he is less than ideal. We see it alot with some backs that continuously run into the backs of their OL.
