Brandon Aiyuk has been released. His name has been prominantly mentiioned by the Cult over the last few years. He missed all of the 2025 season after being injured in December of 2024, a year he was having a bad year production wise. Clearly an injury risk but had great production in his first 2 years. Convince me he would worth going after and at what price.

Dude quit on his team and went AWOL from the facility last season.
He can be some other team's problem. He's never lived up to his draft position.

This made the rounds last week. I know nothing about the account posting it. We do know that he didn't show up to assigned rehab with team staff, so the idea of blowing off rehab altogether isn't that farfetched.

His first choice is to play with Daniels in Washington. There is also more backstory if you follow Grant Cohn on YouTube. Aiyuk was pretty irritated not getting the ball much despite being open that could’ve changed the game in the 2023 Super Bowl (according to Cohn).

The other was not following Doctors orders in rehab or else it could lead to long term damage.

The last part that questions whether he’s mentally ill is that he agreed to give up he’s $30M guaranteed money. Who does that?

He had attitude issues coming into the league and Vrabel is already dealing with that in Barmore.

I suspect that he is destined for Washington to reunite with Jayden from their Sun Devil days.

Needless to say, I am NOT convinced.

IMO, WR is not a priority right now. I want to see an Athletic TE. I have no idea who but that is the one glaring thing missing from this Offense.

Stay as far away as possible.

Has the cult disappeared, or is he really that bad a prospect?

Aiyuk to me is a dart throw, the biggest problem i have with it is you can't sign him and sell him as a guaranteed serious option to fill a key role.

It might play out that way but you have to sign him with the expectation that he's your 4th option and if he turns back into his old self it's a bonus but you're foolish if you sign him needing him to be a key contributor then it's on you if you get burned.
