It's easy, and only takes a few moments. His time here was tainted by the laughing draft and becoming exhibit A in the unraveling of BB. At the end of the day he started as a rookie and was durable until that devastating knee injury that he had not completely recovered from when competing for a job under Vrabel. I wish him luck with the Chargers.Injuries derailed his time here, but he's a good guard when healthy.
We chose to keep Wallace instead. We probably should have just kept him.
He was under contract and didn’t care if he started because he wasn’t a former starter. Strange is a starter. Wallace isn’t.We chose to keep Wallace instead.
McVay & Snead were laughing at THEMSELVES for thinking Strange might slip to a mid-round. They knew he was good and hoped the word hadn't gotten out. McVay has too much class anyway in that situation to laugh at another team on tv.I never understood the hate he got. McVay and Snead look like arrogant idiots in that clip and then went on to have one of the worst OL for several seasons. Strange eventually was grading out as a top 15 Guard before the injury. He even rejoined the team while still injured to play even though he could have just sat out. I have no issues with him.
Both were under contract. He was under contract and didn’t care if he started because he wasn’t a former starter. Strange is a starter. Wallace isn’t.
Strange had one year left on his rookie contract and the team was clearly focused on starting Wilson. Both were under contract.
The team chose one.
Strange was cut.
Wallace made the 53.
???Strange had one year left on his rookie contract and the team was clearly focused on starting Wilson.
Wilson and Wallace are under contract for years to come and Wallace hasn’t played well. Strange meanwhile went to Miami, played great and was rewarded with a contract from the Chargers.
I think the disconnect here is you finding it more important to hate on Strange because the collaboration used a late round first on him rather than live in reality.
Come back to reality, everything makes more sense here.
It’s odd to argue with me then shift to say you agree with me.???
I don't hate on Strange at all. I think that he should have been our starter at LG or at least a backup to Wilson.
=========
There were games when Wilson was injured and Wallace wasn't even good enough to be active.

I apologize for any misunderstanding. It’s odd to argue with me then shift to say you agree with me.
The patriots decided to move on from a 4th round level experienced LG in favor of Wallace.Let's be real here. Strange was just a bad pick in the 1st. If the Patriots had taken him in the 4th round like everybody else in the league had slotted him, there would be zero complaints about the pick. He just never lived up to the draft slotting. Strange is still another of a long string of BB draft brain farts. He liked to zig when other teams zagged and it ended up costing us value.
Strange signed a 2 year deal for 13 million to be a backup player. No big deal. Maybe he will work out for the Chargers but the Patriots decided to cut ties with Strange for a reason. Time to move on. No more need to make excuses for the draft brainfarts of a past regime.
Strange would have cost the Patriots 16.7 million dollars to pick up his 5th year option. The patriots decided to move on from a 4th round level experienced LG in favor of Wallace.
I defer to those who think that Wallace was a better addition to the 53 than Strange.
Of course, it was time to move on, after the season (same as Bradbury). It is NOT wrong to keep an inexpensive veteran when your choice is Wallace.
If he didn’t suffer a knee injury he was a ln instant starter, not sure how that’s “bad.” Unless you’re saying the team should be able to predict injuries.Let's be real here.
