Patriots Player Departure Pats trade Garrett Bradbury to the Bears for a 2027 5th

Lol, calm it, wee man.

Somebody clearly can’t read…

Oh I am sorry, but I can't share your little richard syndrome because I am not even a man. But I will call out any fool who stays on the Campbell to guard this season after Vrabel so clearly said no. I refuse your fantasy and substitute reality.

The Cowboys did not tender Brock Hoffman. He is 26-year-old who served as a key depth piece, capable of playing center and both guard spots. Its a cap cut. He has shown some good things. I think we need to take a look. He might not be out starting left guard, but the guy is incredible swing depth.

Use the draft, they’ve got one solid prospect in Marcus Bryant already, bring in some more bodies and let camp competition sort it out.

Moses will be good right up until the moment he isn’t or he gets hurt, they just need the heir apparent sitting right behind him.
Yes, we need competition with Bryant for his spot on the PS or #4 OT.

We need to recall just how quickly Munford passed him on the depth chart.

Yeah...Marcus Bryant "The Road Grader" is not a thing

Rookies take time to develop, some more than others. You write guys off too quickly.

I can remember telling posters in boston.com that Julian Edelman guy was really talented and being told he doesn’t play enough and has warts.

Coaches develop, good coaches do it well. Grow some patience.

Mumford the road grader doesn’t exist either…

Bryant hasn’t played, we have no clue what he is yet.

great move for the Pats. I might argue the Bears over paid but usually you don't get much in the 5th anyway and for as much as we might dislike Bradbury he is a starter in this league. Has been for years. Was last year. Yes he is a guy you look to upgrade but he is a STARTER you look to upgrade. That has some value.

sigh

I'm sure we have signed others to future contracts who are unproven and who might be our future starter at RT, or perhaps some player from another team.

There is little reason to believe that Bryant is a future starter.

I agree that is also true for hundreds and hundreds of another players.

Bryant is on a four year rookie contract. We have no clue what Bryant is, he’s entering year two.

Mumford is on a futures contract, he’s been floating around the league since 2022. The Raiders had a terrible offensive line and couldn’t use him even though they tried. Vrabel has a soft spot for Ohio State guys, McDaniels had history with him… loyalty only goes so far.

I’ve got more faith in the unknown of Bryant than the known of Mumford.

I have little faith that either will ever be a starter for us.

I can see you back in the day saying this Mike Vrabel guy will never be a starter for us, he was in Pittsburgh 4 years and didn’t start a single game.

But you do you…

We'll likely see both in training camp and that will tell us a lot.

I think if you get a good LG, either via FA or the draft, you'll help the LT. You can move Wilson to his natural position. I think you can improve three OL spots with one move.

In other O-line news: Taylor Decker has requested release from the Lions. Could we bring him in? Initial intention could be to use him as the swing, but with the option to move Will inside to G, with Decker at LT.
A Pats website on Fakebook claims that NE has signed Decker.

Well there you guy. I also heard on Reddit that Campbell is going to Thailand to get an experimental surgery to extend his arms by 2 inches but would miss the 2026 season.

Maybe you could hold his swanson while he uses the toilet?

Youd like that.

We have no clue what Bryant "WILL BE". We have somewhat decent idea of what he "IS" now relative to Mumford. NOTHING is a better indication of what the coaches thing about someone than playing time and they gave more of it to Mumford. The coaches think Bryant is a worse player than Mumford today and it's really not even debatable. Playing Mumford over him is the coaching equivalent of getting up on the podium and flat out telling that to us.

Says the guy with the rainbow looking avatar Lighten up Frances I was just joking with you, no need to get nasty.
