2026 Draft: Tight Ends

In light of Sam Roush's T-Rex arms and his drops, these are my favourite TEs currently.

And Oscar Delp.

All could play TE 2 early, have experience inline but have the athletic ability to perhaps step up to TE 1.

I am going to vomit when Sadiq ends up with the Chiefs. I would like to revisit my idea of drafting Stowers and trading for Kmet. There are so many athletes that are good football players that I literally have no idea what I want the Pats to do at 31 and 63.
I don’t think Stowers will be there at 31, but man I’d be thrilled if they somehow wind up with him in the draft. Maybe trade up to right before the Chiefs and grab Sadiq.

A Move TE that runs like a WR sign me up. Would like him even on slight Trade up.
I’ve toyed with double dipping him at 31 if available, and the Notre Dame kid. Has two ACL’s but also 6’7” and can move and block.

I’d love Delp or Raridom. Or both.

In light of the Patriots, and Vrabel's, talk about the depth at the TE position I'm developing the radical idea of triple dipping.

1. Oscar Delp - The future Henry replacement.

2. Sam Roush - I'm back in. Did you know he had a 7.08 3-cone at 270lbs? Lance Zierlein compares him to Dawson Knox. Plug and play Hooper replacement. Will Kacmarek could be a possibility here too.

3. Riley Nowakowski - I just watched Kyle Crabbs speak effusively about him and I'm now all in. If we want to break Henderson out get an extremely competitive lead blocker. Max Bredeson would be the alternative.

I don't really think we'll triple dip, but we do have the picks for it. Use the two fourths on Delp and Roush and a 6th on Nowakowski. It wouldn't be that expensive in draft capital. The Delp pick would be the most unlikely but for now, Roush/Kacmarek and Nowakowski/Bredeson are my early "we're definitely drafting these guys" guys.

I don't think we're carrying 4 TEs even if we got rid of Westover and Lampe.

Sam Roush v Kenyon Sadiq

Roush

49 receptions - 545 yards - 11.1 avg - 2 TDs 7 drops

Sadiq

51 rec - 560 yds - 11.0 avg - 7 TDs (the power of Dante Moore) 6 drops

I like Roush athlecism as much as anyone but those arms and hands scare the **** out of me.

The arms aren't great but I do think the drops can be worked on. But everything else is impressive. The only other knock I have on him is not being able to break one on one tackles enough. At 270lbs and that athletic, he should be able to bully people more than he does. They need to stick him in front of Gronk videos for 24 hours.

I agree. However, the worst case scenario is Roush turns out to be a very good blocking TE, and that combined with his upside makes him a good day 3 gamble.

That's where I am. If he's just Austin Hooper, that's fine. If he becomes TE 1 then great.
