It is exactly what most on this site suggested. Williams gets a demotion/promotion and could help the defense without the stress of full time DC. Kuhr deserves the DC role and brings continuity to the defense

I was actually going to create a thread about this today. There was no chance Kuhr would not be prompted after this year and especially the playoffs.

Feel bad for Williams.

You can't mess with the formula. He was never going to lose his employment but there was no way you could go back to the old roles.

It's best this way for everyone.

Probably assistant HC or something. Do Pats have to go through the diversity dog and pony show to hire Kuhr as DC?

Why?

He was Assistant Head Coach for Vrabel at Tennessee. Seems very likely he’ll get that same job with the Patriots.

It’s not like they’re kicking him to the curb like yesterday’s garbage.
