Gibbins replacement yr 1?
Spillane is 31.
6th rd or later....Is that what we need?
Jake Golday and Kyle Louis, yes. Kendal Daniels looks promising.
In the box LBs are a dime a dozen.
Golday and Louis aren't MIKEs.Is that what we need?

We have one MIKE for now who is 31 and might be getting ready for his last season here. We have lots of veterans to replace in the coming couple of years. Spillane, Henry, Bradbury, Diggs and Hollins, Landry, Moses, maybe Davis. There's no harm in exploring future replacements. Maybe we bring back Spillane which renders this discussion moot. You are the best at churning up new prospects and keeping an open mind.
I am just pushing back. We have a MIKE. We need a complementary LB.
Now as a 6th round value, that's different.
Just pushing back a bit.
If you want a feel for Alabama LB Justin Jefferson's speed watch the first video in the tweet below. He's not highlighted so you're looking for the linebacker #10 who is faking the blitz at the LoS who then drops out and runs vertically with the slot receiver on the near side. Yes he misses an open field tackle at the end of the play, but his speed is very apparent.
I watched a game early in the season and I just felt he's an excellent Vrabel fit. I can't really put a finger on why, but it just struck me. He was the top tackler on the 'Bama defense, so maybe a Gibbins replacement.I remember commenting on him during the Bama-Oklahoma game and thought he looked very good and was everywhere. Late draft pick, but has talent that could be worked with or he is another Mapu. not sure which
