It is what it is. Maye had a great season, but he started getting worse each playoff game. The poor play of the OL didn't help. Many wanted to point to the snow two weeks ago, but Maye and the OL were awful against Denver. Had it not been for the Stidham fumble, there's a good chance they only score 3 points that day.

Seahawks badly exploited a weakness and made the plays on offense which was why they won.
It wasn't that bad. People tend to forget the almost 10 minute drive to start the second half, where they ran the ball eleven times. 2 of 3 passing.

I think the Patriots took their foot off the pedal this game to make sure there were no more fumbles or INTs.

Been here much longer than you and decidedly not a Jets fan. You are more of one than I am. They'd be stoked and talking for 50 years about losing in a SB.

Lol. You have no clue what you are talking about. I go back to when this forum started. But this is what you diarrhea of the mouth fair weather fans do. You just run and run oblivious to reality. I would have no idea what you Jet fans talk about, but thanks for telling us. Not.

Losing the Super Bowl did suck, but it was a great season. I'm not going to put it all on Maye. From the first snap he was under immense pressure, and imo his receivers simply were not getting open. That put Maye in a situation where he either threw it into traffic with a high risk of turnovers, or holding onto it and paying the price for that. I also thought MacDaniels game plan was absolute dogshit. He should have thrown it out at the half and gone no huddle the rest of the game.

The bottom line for me is that they seriously outperformed all expectations and their future is really bright. They are way ahead of schedule, and are true contenders already. They have more work to do but they are going to be in the hunt for years to come. And what real fans need to come to grips with is the fact that if you consistently play in Super Bowls you are going to lose some. Even Brady dropped 3 of them, it's just a fact of life. So while last night was disappointing I'm really proud of their performance this season, and I'm looking forward to the future. Vrabel brought in the right guys, they will work their asses off to get back to the Bowl.
I said to the people I was with halfway through the 2nd quarter that we need to go no huddle. Anything to change the script. They would show replays from above and all the receivers were blanketed. The rush was getting there in way too much of a hurry. That’s a nightmare scenerio for a QB. Drake did miss a couple of open receivers that he normally hits. He was flustered and it showed but he will learn from it. He’s 23 years old. Has shown MVP caliper play in 2 years. I believe that he excels and gets more polished

To the rest of you that are ****ting on Drake. Did any of you play competitive sports. Because you all must have been superstars that never had a bad game. My guess is that at 23 years old, most of you probably still didn’t even know how to do your laundry. Give the kid a ****ing break

People taking Maye having a bad game extremely personally is odd to me. There’s no need to get divisive about it. We’re all still rooting for him to keep improving.

Uncertainty. Maye having things he needs to solve before really being capable of winning the Super Bowl is a lot harder of a pill to swallow than just saying we need to get him more help. It IS a mix of both. But you'd almost rather be able to chalk it all up to the easier things to fix

STFU about the Jets fan crap.

11 guys all getting a little bit better really adds up. I trust McDaniels and company have the right methods to teach Maye about pocket awareness and to go deeper into one of the biggest playbooks in the NFL.

Although I struggled sleeping last night as I always do after watching our guys lose a big game this one felt different. We massively overachieved and the bar has been raised. There is no other head coach I would rather have than Vrabel and no other QB I rather have then Maye. The future is so incredibly bright and the next era of Patriot football is one I am frankly incredibly optimistic over. Cannot wait till week 1.

Then stop acting like one.
ROFL just because I feel different than you doesn't mean you get to label someone something they aren't. Maybe there is a lesson in that.
