The last non-divisional rival opponent the Seahawks faced were the Panthers.

The game was 3-3 before Bryce Young had his usual meltdown and spotted them 14 easy points. As a Saints fan, I am treated to watching the Panthers as one of my teams' division rivals. They have a very good team and are held back by inept QB play. If they had a better QB, they would be a dangerous team in the NFC.

I'm surprised no one has mentioned this game yet. I am seeing much discussion about how the Seahawks struggled with the Vikings defense, but the Panthers also clamped down on their offense and made it hard for Darnold. Everything was going so well before Bryce's turnovers flipped everything.

I have never heard a Bad Bunny tune, nor do I wish to, so I'm not one to speak from any expertise... BUT based on all the empirical evidence that has been thrown out, in this "wildly interesting" (heavy sarcasm) Bad Bunny musical dialog (and I get **** when I bring up the "great divider") Your statement on his musical talent could just be the DUMBEST statement of the lot. "lacks musical talent"? So all those millions of people are wrong, or are you just one of those people who refuse to believe what you see with your own eyes.

Stick to Football UGA, you are much better contributor when you do. Its good advice, something I'm trying to do more myself.
: I have kids in the avatar, AND have negotiated a lot deals in the music industry from country to Pop to Rap. I know that business and many people in it.!

Popularity has nothing to do with talent.

In fact, there can sometimes (not always) be an inverse relationship between talent (which I define as musicianship) and contrived exposure.

It’s marketing and packaging first.

It’s shockingly difficult for truly talented folks to break through.

Example: Steven Wilson Jr was known to be one of the most talented people in Nashville for YEARS yet couldn’t get a push before finally, his peers were so loud about it that he did beginning last year.

Bad Bunny uses HEAVY engineering, has poor pitch, and is essentially a plant to excite the modern avatar.

That isn’t new, he’s just the biggest modern example.

And this isn’t “get off my lawn” musical taste either…Kendrick Lamar isn’t my style but is truly a talented guy.

My barometer is simple: with a single mic in a small room can a musician deliver an elite performance?

You may not like my criteria, but it’s not the opinion of someone who doesn’t know music or the industry.

I didn’t like Bruno Mars politics much, but the guy is incredibly talented and deserved a spot at the SB.

Latest weather forecast is a high of 67 with an average of 54 on gameday with a 30% chance of rain. So I don't think the weather will be pristine. This will be winter playoff football.
Are you looking at the entire day, or just the Super Bowl time period?

National Weather Service is currently estimating 66 degrees at kickoff, 56 degrees by the game’s conclusion, with a 1-3% chance of rain during the game, and with winds under 10mph.

I went off the CBS weather report: Super Bowl 2026 weather forecast: Conditions for Patriots vs. Seahawks

Looks like the forecast has improved for the better going off the national weather service.

We will have to see. No rain is a good thing if we're looking for best conditions. Question is who does that favor more?

If we're hoping for more offense we want fair weather the whole game.

I hope Maye can elevate his game and his shoulder doesn't bother him too much. OL has a real task to protect him against that Seahawks defense.

Both Gonzo and Davis are 6-1 and JSN is 6-0. Jones is 5-8.
Ok. I'm surprised JSN is 6'; my impression is he plays closer to the ground. Anyway, put Jones and somebody on JSN; Gonzo on the next biggest threat. (Jones + somebody) > (Gonzo alone). That locks down JSN and Gonzo can lock down 2nd best. It's the best use of resources.

The day is almost here. Get your shopping done ASAP!

Capitalism is subject to the laws of economics, everything needs checks and balances. It is natural for giant conglomerates to have agendas that run counter to a persons views on any topic. It is ok for consumers to determine that they don't want to do business with that company. In this case the NFL is trying to expand its market share globally at the risk of alienating some part of its domestic consumer base. That is how capitalism works.

The government stopped checks and balances on capitalism a long time ago.

Amazon wouldn't exist under the government of a 100 years ago for example.

My only concern on defense is that I’ve always felt we are vulnerable to deep shots that opponents seem to fail to hit on. My confidence is lowest with Hawkins who has been decent overall but clearly the weakest link in the secondary. The only plays Stidham made were pretty much on him.

They’re gonna take some shots and hopefully we dial up the pressure to make it hard for Darnold to be accurate.

Who besides JSN would give you any concern at all with Davis covering them? He should shut down anyone else they have, he is far better.
I don't think he is far better than Kupp. I actually think that would be a great matchup, but Davis will get hit with some DPIs

Huh?

In 1926:

Standard Oil controlled had only been broken up for a decade or so by the Sherman act’s newly granted power to courts of oil refining.

AT&T controlled nearly 100% of all telephone service .

U.S. Steel controlled 70% of U.S. Steel manufacturing.

Regional Railroad Czars decided what town’s to serve and what ones not to.

1920 had MORE true monopolies not less.

Today’s competitive dominance by Amazon, Apple, Google etc is often conflated with Monopoly but doesn’t meet the true definition.

Interestingly, guess what does?

The NFL.

Which is why they and other leagues got an exemption in 1961.

If monopoly is is defined by literally the only player in town then congratulations, you have fallen in line.

Amazon controls the market. Full stop.

Maybe if the government treated these conglomerates the way they treated the Rockefellers we'd all be a much happier.

But this was long before the government became for sale to the 1%.

Kupp is a shell of his former self. David has less than 1/2 a DPI per game. Kupp isn’t more likely to create one, and in fact is less likely, than his average receiver he has defended.
Kupp caught a total of 47 passes all season.

So I wonder if this is a gamesmanship ploy because that would imply a man heavy scheme and I don't think it plays out that way. I think this was said as a way to give Kubiak something to think about.
I don’t think there is any chance the Patriots have decided to play one defense the same way all day. This defense is as varied and multiple as any in the league as well as adaptable to situation. This is definitely bait.

They are gonna unleash the amoeba defense again imo. Darnold ain't gonna have a clue what's going on. Nor will his line.

Thats my best guess.

I've been waiting for a heavy weight fight like this since 2004. I was hoping Ty Law would be facing TO, but that thought ended quickly during the season.
The best thing I have seen about Gonzo is he is very centered. He doesn't shift his weight one way or the other, thus he can break with you quite easily. Add that to route study and it's a deadly mix. JSN is good but an awful lot of his catches are pretty wide open. Cover him and see what happens.

It's going to be a great matchup tomorrow.

I get your frustration, and you aren’t wrong entirely but you are absolutely conflating monopoly (which really boils down to price fixing at an inflated cost that harms the market) with dominance.

Amazon absolutely does exhibit predatory behavior…they got caught using private sellers data to reverse engineer supply chain, launch competing products, and manipulating search results to favor brands they own.

BUT, consumers don’t HAVE to buy from Amazon.

Walmart does a similar thing with retail, Apple with IOS. Big Pharma is an even better example.

Interestingly, other than IOS /Pharma all these examples result in LOWER prices not higher.
