I can’t wait to see the media’s reaction when the Pats shock the world again.

I will be confident they do it if they play better on offense. Defense will take care of Darnold and their offense.
Going by the point spread, it would not be a top ten SB upset. Maybe not top fifteen.

Going by "experts" and other NFL "fans" opinions, it might as well be a repeat of SB 3 if NE wins. Not since SB 42 have the predictions been this one sided.

Point being, these teams are closer than your normal "SB mismatch."

It's been so long that I have forgotten I always take the Monday after a Pats SB off to either recover from lack of sleep if we win or deal weal with depression if we lose.

Both Bruno and Kendrick are doing fine I am told. Kendrick just won a Grammy, Bruno has new music out and a tour starting soon. They’re not on the decline just yet but give it time, it happens to almost all performers.

As far as BB and today’s music, that’s an odd statement for you to make because I’ve said in this thread that I’m not a Bad Bunny fan. I would not search out his music but if a song played and it had a beat I liked, I wouldn’t turn it off. I, like probably the vast majority of posters here, listen to a wide variety of music from very old to very new and across almost all genres.

There are artists I cannot stand but if they were to be SB halftime performer, I wouldn’t moan about it like a petulant child, I’d mute it or watch something else.
TMZ is sleeping on the job. Nary a mention of those two Icons.

Bad is a good business move for the NFL to go global. I saw him yesterday in his rabbit cotume bellyaching about some crap.

How did this post turn into the half time show. It’s all political no matter how they want to sell it
Let’s keep politics out of this sports forum. We are in the SB, who gives a ****e

Not that they need it. But the Patriots have plenty of motivation.
Especially the defense seeing how many of these predictions have the Seahawks scoring 30+ points.

The Pats only gave up 30+ points once once this season (second Bills game) and there were a lot of injuries on that side of the ball which helped contribute to that. They're almost all healthy now.

Congratulations! You just listed the artists with the #1 and #2 records of the year! Billboard's 2026 Year-End Charts | Billboard

So, about the game. Is anybody else feeling bizarrely overconfident?
Yup. Tickets for 4 stadium shows here went on sale a few weeks ago for Bruno. My daughter wanted to go so I tried to get her and my wife tickets. The guy sold out over 200,000 seats in a matter of hours.

If we can beat Houston's defense in snow/rain/30 degrees, we can beat Seattle's in dry 65 degree conditions. The combination of weather and high-quality defenses we've experienced in our last 3 games has been fantastic prep for this game. Our young offense has been run through a real gauntlet.

The Seahawks are far from unbeatable, and they're only in this game cause the Rams punt returner fell down on a fair catch.

Kyle Williams could be an underrated factor as well for the first time since the regular season. He got wide open against Houston but Drake’s throw he normally makes in his sleep was a tad off. Should finally be able to take more shots downfield if the OL holds up.

Comparing to the AFCCG lineup, Landry would presumably take Swinson's spot and Farmer would replace Leonard Taylor as the #5 DT. Taylor has been bouncing back and forth from the roster to the PS, I don't think it would be a big disruption if they're higher on Farmer.
If it were me, I am keeping the guy that blocked the kick in Denver as a game day active.

Very fair argument. If they value Taylor's ST contributions enough to tilt the roster decision, that's fine. I just don't think that activating Farmer would screw up the DL rotation.

Wild stat: Taylor didn't play a single ST snap in the entire regular season. Talk about timely!

you seem to put a lot of stock into TMZ content, glad you have a show you appear to enjoy.

Agreed and If it were anyone but the patriots id be pretty confused at the one sidedness. They are not THAT huge of favorites. I know im biased but i just don’t get how people look at this team and think they aren’t 100% for real for real, though my guess is they ARENT looking at the team close enough and just looking at the schedule. This team is built for titles

Elite hc who is defensive minded paired with an elite oc. Elite staff under them with a half dozen or so ex hc’s. Theyve had 2 weeks to prepare.

Elite qb who makes this a top ranked offense even with an average ol / passing weapons

Elite cb trio and dl, would give any qb fits.

elite run d , still nobody has been able to run on us with milton in.

Solid to great everywhere else. Solid st’s with a top pr. No major weaknesses to exploit (unless maybe you have great te’s but Seattle doesn’t)

I'm getting more and more convinced new england is gonna win but that they are gonna boat race the Seahawks.

The focus and intensity is all on the Patriots side. Milton, tonga, and Christian are going to dominate the line of scrimmage and not having charbonnet is huge. I'm gonna keep banging this drum.

Im extremely tempted to bet the most money I ever have on the pats spread. 4.5 points is insane. I know it moved this week towards Seattle. All of the pats SB have been close except the bears one.

I was expecting that after the way the playoffs went. For most of the country, that was their introduction to Drake Maye. So they think the Patriots are opportunistic grinders, and that Maye is more dangerous running than throwing. They've never seen this offense in good weather. They may be in for something of a surprise.

There's been a pretty wide gulf between public perception and reality for this team all season long. I am NOT a betting woman, but I did place a modest wager on them to win the Superbowl back in October.
I think you got the nail on the head with the public and media not watching the pats this year. The public definitely didn't watch them as the pats barely had a national media presence.

And the media is clearly clearly biased against the pats. They are super pissed the pats are back. Drake maye mvp. Belichick being left out of the hof. I don't consider vrabel or mcdaniels winning coaching awards as the media not being unbiased towards the team.

Its obvious the media is relying on the preseason narrative of the pats. Not watching the games they didn't see hendersons ascendancy, understand the impact Milton had, how great gonzo is at shutting down wrs, etc.

Its just gotten boring and it's the main reason ive stayed away from most media the last 2 weeks.

I think the Patriots have a clear pathway to follow that should result in a win...but let's not get crazy and expect a blowout. Seattle is absolutely the better team if these teams played 100x. But in a one game sample - ultimately we need Maye to play his best and Darnold to revert to form. For Maye to play his best, the offensive line needs to protect him and that means their best game of the year picking up stunts and line games. If they can do that - we have a great chance to control the game script and put Darnold in the one situation Seattle doesn't want him in - throwing the ball repeatedly and predictably without play action to come from behind.

Sunday cannot get here soon enough. I'm over all the crap and waiting, I just want to watch the game. Done hearing predictions, injury reports, halftime show shenanigans, MVP/HOF chatter and a QB Goat that didn't seem to give any love. All of this is simply noise. Nothing matters but what happens on that field. The Pats could win or could lose, no one knows. But I would bet almost anything that if they lose it will not be a blow out...too good a coaching staff, too disciplined and no real glaring holes on this team even if it doesn't have a bunch of pro bowlers. When our D takes the field they are not looking across at Allen, Mahomes or Stafford. They are looking at Sam Darnold.......just let that truly sink in a moment.

In the words of Stefon Diggs..."I like us!"

That's it for me. My next post may not come until spring before training camp, we shall see. I hope everyone enjoys the game and GO PATS!!

From your lips to God's ears with the boat race prediction. I hope so.

But one thing I will 100% agree on is that them not having Charbonnet is way bigger than most are willing to admit. I did an analysis of them with and without him and it's a pretty staggering difference. Big loss for them.

I think the Seahawks have a better roster than the Pats and are coached very well. I still give the coaching edge to the Pats.

Both teams should shut down the opposing run game. Overall the Seahawks have a better pass rush and have multiple players that get to the QB. The Seahawks RG and Center are in the top 10 for allowing quick pressures and the duo of Milt and Barmore are adept at creating quick pressures. I think that Maye gets sacked more than Darnold, but also think that he makes more big plays.

I think overall the Pats will be able to disrupt the pocket more than Seatle (pressures not sacks), but they won't get in the backfield every drop back and that makes me a bit nervous. I do think that our 2ndary will be able to play well against the Hawks WRs, but Darnold is a good QB and will make plays.

All said I think the Pats win by 6

What ive heard is charbonnet is their best back in pass pro while walker is sketchy. I remember a certain falcons rb who was pretty dynamic running but not good in pickup and a certain team knew how to capitalize
