No idea why I turned on “get up” this morning, I should have known better. Bart Scott and company, smh. Why even play the game? Give it to the Seahawks today.
Weak schedule, sacked a histrionic amount of times in the post season, blah blah blah.
Its going to be a bad for them.

And I aint talking just the halftime show.

Yeah, halftime show isn't for fans or the poor spouses of fans who are forced to watch their loved one have a near cardiac event by the end of the first drive.

Mr. Patchick will be out of town this weekend on an annoying business trip. He hasn’t said that missing the game is a silver lining, but….

Exactly. A 2 second google search showed his last North American tour grossed over $200m. Obviously some people enjoy his music and attend his shows. The NFL doesn’t care about guys like me over 40. They already got me. It’s the younger crowd they are going for.

Yeah, I suppose so. My son is in the target demographic they're going after, and I'm fairly certain he's well acquainted with Bad Bunny, but he doesn't care about the halftime show. Hell, none of us in this household do. It's mostly the time to get up, stretch, grab some food, etc.

In this (increasingly) old man's opinion, the halftime show peaked with U2 in SB36. There have been some good ones since, but meh...

Right? It’s a television, change the f’n channel if a guy from a US territory singing in his native language infringes upon delicate sensibilities.
How am I supposed to like it when I cannot understand Spanish?

Before she was murdered, Selena was poised to go mainstream Pop like Cher and Madonna, but she was going perform in English.

Delightful.

Excited to see the Patriots in a non-weather game for the first time in over a month.

Im happy too. Theoretically the team with the qb advantage should benefit from better throwing conditions, we’ll see

Superbowl viewership is never decreasing for the foreseeable future no matter how crappy the halftime show is. As you point out it survived Bruno and Lamar. Theres 2 names that I havent heard in ages. Where have they been? Touring Greenland?

Congratulations! You just listed the artists with the #1 and #2 records of the year! Billboard's 2026 Year-End Charts | Billboard

So, about the game. Is anybody else feeling bizarrely overconfident?

If we can beat Houston's defense in snow/rain/30 degrees, we can beat Seattle's in dry 65 degree conditions. The combination of weather and high-quality defenses we've experienced in our last 3 games has been fantastic prep for this game. Our young offense has been run through a real gauntlet.

The Seahawks are far from unbeatable, and they're only in this game cause the Rams punt returner fell down on a fair catch.

I'm just floating on my "This Game is All Gravy" wave. Just enjoying the renaissance.

Exactly where I am.

I've seen six Super Bowl wins, including the greatest comebacks in Super Bowl history, an historic underdog scenario, snow games, Statue of Liberty plays, Edelmen with a TD pass, Vrabes with TD receptions, I've gotten to enjoy it all.

I always said after all that, I could die happy as a Pats fan, and all I ask is that we're at least a little competitive.

And now, we're in the Super Bowl. How sweet it is!

However...I can be a greedy sum***** sometimes and would love a 7th

Little gambling guy Fortenbaugh picked Seattle by double digits. He’s totally on the easy schedule, playoff breaks train. Whatever.

Boys snub Drake. That's Tacklin fuel! Let's get em. I'm in Florida and everybody betting Seattle. I'm taking them but I'm done now. I BELIEVE! As Daly says (Grip it and rip it Drake)!

Public overwhelmingly on the Seahawks laying the 4.5 points. The line isn't moving so Vegas must know something. Will be interesting to see how the sharps go.

I watched the U2 one on YouTube last night. I agree, it was the best, followed very closely by Prince.

funny, I was trying to think if there was ever a "good one" ... I agree the U2 one gave me goose bumps.

PS: it's such an impossible task to pick the artist

The football gods might be with us.

Prince was awesome in SB 41. Singing "Purple Rain" in the actual rain.

They're going super international too and Bad is the most popular right now in Latin America. I'm hispanic and have a lot of family and friends who don't watch football just soccer and are tuning in just for Bad Bunny.

I think it's lame but your boy would rather have Metallica lol
