As a Colt... WTF. He doesn't sniff the HoF without kicking for the Pats.

This is all part of the anti-Pats movement on the HOF.

It's also a pretty good way to take a jab at Bill and Bob who didn't get in.

I'm happy for #4. He deserved it.
But I'm afraid he only got in now because he played for the Colts.
Canton has lost a lot of its luster not just for Pats fans but for many true sports fans who know that keeping BB and Kraft out this year was a sham.

Well deserved.

AV kicked 10 years for NE and 14 years for Indy.

He left NE @ 33 yo and quit @ 47 yo. I suppose that AV made to correct choice heading to a dome. IIRC, his leg began to lose power on KOs.

kickers last twice as long as most other nfl players

You guys understand that his bust doesn't have any team affiliated with it, right?

I am shocked the level of insecurity some fans have here.

Although Manning made it clear he was a Denver Bronco. Accepted his induction in Mile High wearing a Broncos uniform. Imagine if Brady does this in Raymond James Stadium with a Bucs uni... yikes.

AV was not that. Though I would have used his iconic photo after winning the Pats first SB that's how most fans know him.

(sigh)
Why can't we just enjoy what is? Vinatieri doesn't go in 'as a Colt' he goes in as a kicker. 10 years in NE, 14 in Indy and a case could be made if he didn't spend those last 14 years in the more kicker friendly AFC South (two domes, Nashville and Jax) he might not have made the HoF. Although ofc he's there in every Pats fan's mind for what he did here, truth is kickers don't have the clearest of paths to the NFL HoF and his 10 here probably doesn't cut it in the more national HoF voter's minds.

It was also highly unlikely they were going to put a 25 year old pic up behind him.

No team logos anywhere to be seen.

Not on his bust but he was told of his induction in Mile High. Thought I remembered him also wearing a Broncos jersey but maybe that was for something else.

Also love how they got the huge forehead on his bust lol

Again... a public service announcement:

The New England Patriots have been to a league leading 12 Super Bowls as of this Sunday. This insecure, small-**** energy, nose out of joint at every perceived slight needs to stop. We need to assume the mantle that is rightfully ours. The Patriots run the NFL, regardless of the outcome Sunday. Tony Eason, Steve Grogan, Drew Bledsoe, Tom Brady and now Drake Maye have led this franchise to the biggest football game in the world. This is not a Brady/Belichick thing anymore. This is a New England Patriot thing. They need to rename the game the New England Patriot Invitational. Be arrogant. Be ****y. We've earned it. Screw everyone else.

Kraft is right, we are all Patriots. It's about time we act like it. The Patriots own this league. Period.

OK... that was a huge kick in the snow by Adam. It gave us a Super Bowl. He's hugely responsible for one of the SBs with a nearly impossible kick.

I was much less impressed by the part he played against the Panthers for obvious reasons.

But at the end of the day, he's just a kicker.

Pretend you were starting a new team tomorrow.

Do you take Adam Vinatieri or Stanley Morgan if you had to choose between the two?

I'd take Bill Belichick over both but I definitely take Stanley over Vinatieri.

Stanley's production for the Patriots was NEVER ever replaced until this day (Welker is the only other guy in the conversation). But the production of kickers gets replaced rather quickly.

TL;DR version...
