I thought Tommy coming out saying he would not be rooting for the Patriots was a little disappointing. The thing I really didn't like was in the last sentence he referenced rooting for people he liked. What does that mean?

It means we should get used to the fact Brady is not emotionally invested in the Patriots, their fans or New England at large. His "I'm a Patriot for life" declaration at the Halll of Fame induction was just lip service. His foremost loyalty is to the Raiders.

And if rumors are true, he’s hiring Seattle’s OC to be his next head coach. What should Brady say? “Yeah, I’m rooting for my next head coach to lose the Super Bowl.” Great way to start a business relationship with him.

Plus he's a broadcaster and by definition should be impartial, even if he's not announcing this particular game.

I think it's the Raiders ownership more than the broadcasting. We've seen broadcasters rooting for their main team in the past, and no one really cared. Aikman and Romo are partial to the Cowboys.

A ton of Raider fans are still butthurt about the tuck rule. No way Brady is going to say out loud he's cheering for his old team even if he is in private.

Yep. I have no position on the politics (it's just music. No need for politics) or anything against Bad Bunny but it's just not my cup of tea. Old school Green Day works for me just like the Red Hot Chili Peppers did when they did the 1/2 time show when the Pats played the Giants the 2nd time.

I really don't care either way about Bad Bunny, but can I give a loving chuckle at the way this board asks for dad rock at halftime every single year?

All props to the Red Hot Chili Peppers, but Anthony Kiedis is 63 years old. The NFL landed an act coming off a best album Grammy and vying with Taylor Swift for the title of #1 music act in the world. Smart move for a production that's supposed to lure in viewers who are as blah toward football as we are toward reggaeton music.

I'll probably watch the way I watch most halftime shows, at half-attention just in case something memorable happens.

Bledsoe pixxed BB off with his contract thing. Remember when Bledsoe disappeared fishing or hunting and basically went radio silent during contract negotiations? I read the BB did not want to give him that contract and that Kraft closes the deal. Bledsoe had skills, but he wasn't consistent.
as opposed to our current very CONSISTENT quarterback?

WOW.. According to ESPN. Milt Williams has 57 pressures in 3 games this post-season. That's the 5th most since ESPN started tracking it in 2009. That's 19 per game..

Pressures is the total of Sacks, +QB Hits + Hurries.

To give some perspective on that number:
Hebert has 31 pass attempts (6 sacks, 2 by Williams)
JC Stroud had 47 pass attempts (3 sacks)
Stidham had 31 pass attempts (3 sacks)

57 pressures on 109 pass attempts. That's 55 %. Just by Williams.
He's a one man army

Madonna was the half-time act for SB 46. The Chilis played with Bruno Mars on the night that Peyton Manning got his ass handed to him by the LOB.
My memory is going....

Yep. Flea is also 63. Someday he'll go from the Fruit of the Loom tighty-whities to Depends....

My college-age girls will watch so i'll watch (or go do dishes or something...)

The bigots didn't have an issue when Latina women Shakira and J Lo did the half time show because being a bigot travels with misogynistic behavior towards and sexualization of minority women, but put an extremely successful Latino man on stage and now those same bigots' superiority complexes are triggered.

More broadly, we're not supposed to like young people's music and young people aren't required to like ours. Music is extremely contextual. My kids won't understand or appreciate old rock, 90s grunge, or motown because they weren't alive during the era it was made in for the people it was made for. Aside from mass produced pop singers, if there's an extremely popular recording artist that you don't like chances are you don't understand the context of why they're making their music and the people it resonates with. In the case of bad bunny, that means you don't understand the culture of nearly a billion people which means you should keep your thoughts to yourself and do some research.

Anyway, have a great day everyone!

Starting to get nervous as the game gets closer. But starting to feel more at ease as well, feel like our defense is gonna crack Darnold and revert him back to being a jag.
Not mention nice weather been a while since Maye played in that.

Seahawks fans travel well. Hope there's lots of us there at the same time.

Well they kinda live out there.

He is hiring the Seattle OC as their next head coach for the Raiders. So he has to take a neutral tone. No chance he isn't really rooting for Vrabes.
