Best comparison I ever read — it’s not perfect, but prior to Belichick and Brady’s arrival, the Patriots were on par with the Cincinnati Bengals. Yeah, the Bengals have been to a few Super Bowls too and have had a few other good teams that didn’t. Just like those pre-Brady and Belichick Patriots. But otherwise had significant periods of being known for ineptitude on the field and extreme cheapness by the front office. And at least the Browns weren’t a national punchline for their behavior the way the Sullivans and Kiam were.

Most other fans considered the Patriots first SB run a complete fluke with how the Bears blew them out. . Especially when they got bounced by the Broncos the very next year in the divisional round of the play-offs.

It coming out after the SB against the Packers that Parcells had been in discussions with the Jets amplified the idea that the Pats weren't a legit Franchise. It also raised questions as to whether the Krafts were in it for the long haul.

The Pats are PROOF that good ownership can bring in good coaching and good management. That the three, together, is what's needed to turn a franchise around.

Nice to hear that. With this in mind and SB-LX his first time there, I would expect a terrific effort from this veteran guy!

Am I the only one who hates this new "Warriors" thing they do?? Vrabel starting his AFCCG trophy interview with a big effeminate holler was the worst decision he's made all year. Which is to say - I've loved almost everything he's done & said until that.
Eww, let's just drop that one quick. Maybe use the offseason to find a new callout.

On that note - I was rewatching the '14 SB highlights on the NFL marathon and couldn't believe that that Seahawks team actually had the "we all we got..." mantra!?! Isn't that weird? I think it's up to us, the fans, to think up something good and start it at training camp.

I've never seen the movie but yea, it's kinda annoying. I try to tune it out.

It's almost like in 08 when the Celtics played Gino every 10 minutes, Ubuntu, and Joe Morgan's 6, 2 and even nonsense back in 88

Vrabel seems to be over the top on things and repetitive but whatever. The team is responding and they are playing for the Super Bowl.

I understand this to mean that all our Patriots news will be filtered through the lens of the pool reporter. Just diminishes the signal to noise ratio in an environment where there is way too much noise. Whatever will we find to discuss?

I always jump to things like omens, luck, curses, whatnot.
 
FWIW...TP USA will be providing an alternative halftime show from what the NFL has lined up. Disclaimer...I don't care about anyone's thoughts or political beliefs on this. I am simply stating there are numerous things to watch during halftime if you have no interest in what the NFL is providing but if you want to watch the NFL show I hope you enjoy the production.
