Thinking Wynn is injury prone makes you a hater now?
When said poster also states unequivocally 1) that Wynn was injured hence missing voluntaries and 2) that Wynn should only rotate at LG instead of play T for the Patriots. Yes.

Maybe just a drop or two.

(In my younger, less mature days I may have added that I was saving the rest for your mom, but now I’m all growed up).
That’s good. Your mom jokes are usually terrible anyway. Your wife, on the other hand…

I have to agree that this salary vs. Signing bonus distinction is ridiculous. Gilmore got paid money for his time, what does it matter whether it is signing bonus or salary? The only difference is the signing bonus is guaranteed.

I dont care that Gilmore is only making 7 mil in salary, he definitely has been well paid for his time overall.

And any economist will tell you that money up front is worth more than money paid later.
Always. Money, especially at that high volume, in hand is fully actionable especially in order to grow it in multiple ways. Promised money, even contractual, has ZERO value - there are too many ways to break contracts or render them null and void.

Ultimately though, this action by Gilmore is really his only negotiation leverage. He has no other recourse to try and get additional monies and it's not very powerful leverage as it's also a gamble - the Patriots are in much better cap and player flexibility states than this time last year. They can call his cards pretty easily.

jeez, cam newton already sailing passes basically playing backyard football with no pressure.

But his locker room presence...

I think at some point during training camp its just going to come to a point where Mac Jones can make the throws and cam newton cant. it is going to be hard for Bill to sit the kid if he can play and shows it on the field. also, I don't think you necessarily have to sit a rookie their first year on the bench.

"Cam. we need you to throw the ball too high, so the receivers have to jump to catch it? Can you do that?"

I read that they were instructed to throw high in this particular exercise to reduce the chance for interceptions by defenders closer in.

Many reasons to hate Wynn
1. He was drafted by the Pats
2. See above
3. See above
4. ..................

Let me help you with the reasons to hate Wynn:

1. He went to the University (sic) of Georgia
2. See above
3. See above
4. ..................

Other than that It's all good :):)

There is a 7 page thread started by @DropKickFlutie, all about making up a Wynn injury and declaring him basically useless and unreliable

I linked to a newspaper article. And noting Wynn has missed 70% of his NFL games is fact. Good thing BB agrees as Brown was practicing at LT and Onwenu at RT. We need those reps for the next time Wynn goes down which is likely.

If Cam keeps sailing throws then it's going to be hard to defend over time. Although, looking at the overall passes today, I think Mac completed only 1 extra pass than Cam did on a similar number of attempts.

.

You're crazy. I linked to a newspaper article. And noting Wynn has missed 70% of his NFL games is fact. Good thing BB agrees as Brown was practicing at LT and Onwenu at RT. We need those reps for the next time Wynn goes down which is likely.
I don't think a single person on this website has claimed Brown wouldn't be next on the LT depth chart, or that Onwenu shouldn't be the swing tackle. The difference is you think that should be the starting lineup.

I'll say it simpler since some can't deal with nuance. Obviously OptionA has Wynn at LT since he's skilled there. The whole thing wouldn't even be an issue except Wynn is constantly out. Missing 30 of 48 NFL games is very bad. I'm being realistic to actual durability and also cognizant of the chemistry angle that flipping 3 OLine guys every single time is not great. Some people are taking for granted that constantly jerking Onwenu around won't mess the young kid up. The movements playing RT then going back to LG then back again, not only affects what you think you are supposed do as a player but what you think your teammate next to you is supposed to do.

then BB needs to pack out the "what the hell" attitude

Damn, what’s the scouting report on this guy???? That form/technique & release point is #1 pick worthy! My only question is, why are they still throwing, while up ten in the forth???…

Its more than just making the pass. Let's see how he does diagnosing defenses. I know Cam isn't top tier at that, so it will be telling if Jones can pass him there too

Ughh, the worst part is we won't know who the starting QB is until 2 hours before the first game probably

"Cam. we need you to throw the ball too high, so the receivers have to jump to catch it? Can you do that?"

- BB

"Better than anyone else in the NFL coach!"

- Cam
Next practice: "Cam we need you to throw the ball into the dirt so the receivers have to dive to catch it. Can you do that?"

-BB

"Better than anyone else in the NFL coach"

-Cam
