OT: Chiefs have $177.00 in cap space

The Patriots are fairly tight against the cap. The Chiefs are squeezed against it.

Field Yates of ESPN.com has posted the current cap numbers, and New England’s $891,775 doesn’t look like much, until it’s compared to Kansas City’s.

So, money well spent? They are the super bowl champs and have an offensive roster anyone in the league would envy.

Underrated defense too. They might be about to lose Chris Jones though. Can't see both him and Mahomes getting paid on the same team.

Can they afford hand sanitizer with that?

They had to cut their water boy because he was demanding $200 per season.

That could land them Andy Dalton.

Not to worry. Cap is crap!

They also return every player that played over half their snaps last season, so I think they'll take it.

They could free a bunch of money by dumping Sammy Watkins so it's not much of a concern.

Chiefs should be fine this year but once Mahomes gets big money it will become increasingly difficult to maintain as good a roster. The Pats lost a lot of good players in past 5 years - Jimmy G, Logan Ryan, Chandler Jones, Trey Flowers mainly due mainly to money considerations. We'll see if the Chiefs can do the same.

Wait until the have to sign Hill & Mahomes.

If Dak get’s 35+Million annually Mahomes will want 40+.

Hill will want 17-20 Million annually.

Are we having our annual discussion on how Team X has such a good team while remaining below the cap, and that they should enjoy this year because they will be in cap hell next year?

Is it time year to suggest that they must be cheating on the cap because the team is so good?

Doesn't Hill have to sign at a discount for beating women? Apologies to Hill if he hasn't been charged with abusing women. I've just come to assume every player on the Chiefs has done that.

Kc will free up space with post June 1 cuts.
