I would suggest to you "better believe it Brady wants those records". He wants it all.

We have been hearing for nearly two decades how insanely competitive he is. Well it would not make sense if that did not also apply to wanting good stats. Winning is top priority, but he wants those records, big time.

I tend to agree with this. Brady has put 20 years of his life into the NFL. It’s naive to think he really doesn’t care one iota about a major stat record like most career TDs. Sure, it may be way down the list and doesn’t even enter the same conversation as winning games, but I think all of these guys care about these records. And there’s no way Brady wasn’t gunning for the TD record in 2007. There’s nothing wrong with that, as he didn’t put his own accomplishments over the team’s, but come on...he wanted that record.

But their calculated mission is stirring up controversy and riling up the fan base to keep things "lively" -- which they readily admit doing. If you take their shtick for what it is, it can be fun listening.

The point is not to take them too seriously and pick out useful bits of info from the nonsense. And I kind of like Jim Murray, who's a diehard Pats fan.

Used to get the Squeaky and the Douche show on my Comcast in S. Florida along with whatever local sports broadcast network they were affiliated with. Loved getting 24/7 Boston sports shows.
When NBC took over, my Channel 679 went dark and I relied on PatsFans to be my eyes and ears. Six weeks ago I finally gave in and downloaded the 98.5 app.
And for 6 weeks I have been dumbfounded how every 98.5 show has regressed.
F & M is just a gossip / troll show.
Zolack and Bertrand......
Simply put Zolack is a ****** with severe ADD issues and Bertrand infuriates me on so many levels..... his refusal to allow other’s to speak, his misguided belief he is the funniest guy in the room, his technique of repetition, his teases before every commercial. The guy is formula driven and a complete bore.
Adam Jones is Strictly for people with no lives
Fred Toucher could be the creepiest man on radio.
I’ve even tried out WEEI in the last few weeks because 98.5 is so bent on recreating “Mean Girls” ...........24/7
What is that WEEI morning show....a PBS meets Good Morning America? They were doing recipes one morning.
Their midday show features what I have to guess is a millennial who gets triggered about things that seem irrelevant to real folk. I don’t do millennial well.
And their afternoon show is vintage WEEI irrelevancy. Lou Merloni is still at it? Yikes

It's funny. I've lived in upstate NY for close to 25 years and I have to say that sports radio here is waaaaaay better than Boston sports radio, especially regarding Boston teams (they're considered "teams of local interest). Mostly, it's along the lines of, "I hate them because they're so good," reasonable analysis, and universally agreeing that Brady's the GOAT.

I too find their show mildly entertaining at times and will give a listen for football talk. Once they get going too much with their complaining and conspiracy theories though, I generally turn it off.

I wish one of the local stations would come out with a "Pro Patriots Show" that only talked up the team. That in my mind would garner great ratings, particularly during the season.

Is it annoying? Yes, they are when it comes to the Patriots. My opinion is I think someone whether Belichick or the Org themselves favored other people like Ordway years ago.

The thing is, at least to me, their show is very funny, easily the best. I call in a lot actually. I listen to it most days.

I love the Pats, but I get a kick out of how they troll us, and they are the highest rated show for a reason.

I feel bad when I say it, BUT the thing about Bertrand that drives me even more crazy than his faulty takes is the fact that the guy is morbidly obese and yet the station's major sponsor is a weight loss program.

When I see the simulcast on TV there is a picture of the sponsor's logo as a background. For the entire time I watch all I want to do is yell at the screen, "TURN the F*CK AROUND!!!!!!!!!!

I literally have to turn the channel after about 5 minutes because it's all I focus on. Christ, half the station has already been on the program and lost tons of weight INCLUDING the guy sitting next to him. Is he that thick, or does he simply like being unhealthily fat.

.....and now I feel bad for somehow fat shaming someone.

Great job defining the formula.....especially what I highlighted above.

I find myself baffled at some of the crap they sling at the walls and Mazz sucked me in recently and I called in to set the Italian Hamster straight. He made some completely asinine statement about run scoring % after bunting runners over from 2nd to 3rd. His hot take was purely based on a nonsensical assumption that the success rate bunts is 100%.
I called in....took me one sentence to refute the boob's premise....he agreed his hot take had huge holes......and then Felger attacked me for not keeping quiet enough while he blathered on.
Funny thing, an hour later on Mazz's baseball show.....the Italian Hamster opened with the same just-refuted hot take.
My point: These guys just crank out filler and are too lazy to put real thought into their work. In this case, Mazz just stuck to his guns instead of adjusting on the fly. I was disappointed in this act of laziness given I do respect his baseball knowledge.
His adaptability....not so much.
