He's back!

Time to start racking up Ws.

Picking up Ws sounds like how he got Mono in the first place.

Apparently Darnold has been cleared to play against the Cowboys this weekend...

Sam Darnold cleared from mono, will play in Week 6

If I were the jets, I would wait a couple more games before bringing him back. If he's the franchise QB then why risk this early a return unless this whole illness is making him a hypochondriac. The season is already lost, so let him gain his full strength with maximum rest.

You’re saying you’re the Jets and then immediately rolling into a reasonable argument...there’s your mistake.

It seems like they might be rushing him back a bit early. Mono is nothing to mess with and can become chronic if not nipped in the bud. Physical exertion and stress don't help.

Meanwhile, back in the real world:

Cowboys Laying 8.5 Points vs Jets in Week 6 Opening Spread

The Dallas Cowboys got smacked down by the Green Bay Packers on Sunday. But never fear Cowboys fans. This week, Dallas gets to soar over the Jets.

When a team is coming off a heartbreaking loss, is there a better salve for those wounds than to see a date with the New York Jets up next on the NFL schedule?

New York’s football Jets fell to 0-4 the season when they were humbled 31-6 by the Philadelphia Eagles on Sunday.

The Jets have lost seven games in a row.

Maybe you haven't noticed, but maybe getting your gonads smashed time and time again isn't a good idea?

Just sayin'...

Darnit returns and the Jete are "flush" with optimism ...

The Jets are averaging 13.5 yards per drive this year. Christian McCaffrey is averaging 14.2 yards per drive this year.

The Jets drafted Jamal Adams two picks before Christian McCaffrey.

Not to mention he spelled hypochondriac correctly, no way the Jete could do that. The only way a Pats fan could successfully think like the Jete would be after a frontal lobotomy and a 5th of tequila.

I don't know. There may be signs of improvement over at Florian Park. In the past the boobs would have drafted Polite and then kept him around for 3 or 4 years hoping that no one would notice the bad pick. At least now they had the common sense to cut bait. Step in the right direction, right? ;)

wrong, Ken...there is no "right" step where the Jete are concerned...just wrong, wrong, wrong, wrong and wrung out...

Let’s all pick one picture, meme, or gif that represents the Jets season so far. Here’s my entry:

Whenever the Jete take a step in the right direction it's more akin to a blind squirrel finding an acorn than anything as un-Jete as the application of common sense, which in the Jete case is an oxymoron. That said, regardless of how a Jete step forward inadvertently happens it will always be followed by a minimum of two steps back.

Haven't gone through the whole thread, but if it is not posted I thought this video would provide some enjoyment.

Thanks for posting that. So much has gone wrong for the Jets that you forget things like Rex sending Sanchez out in the 4th quarter of a preseason game and losing him for the season or Idzik going 0-12 in a single draft. The really amazing thing is that the most recent "high point" for the Jets was the 2009 and 2010 seasons. After losing the AFCCG for the 2010 season, it's not like they lost in the WC or divisional round for a couple years after that. Almost 10 years have passed since they played a postseason game, forget about winning one. Aside from 1 year with Bowles, the Jets have headed into the last quarter of the season knowing they had no chance at the playoffs.

As Patriots fans, we're complaining about things like the team hasn't been as successful in the 2nd round of the draft as they should be and that they should be going for their 4th Super Bowl win in a row, instead of their 3rd in 4 years. Can you imagine saying, in 2019, "Well, the 2009 season was fun. Sure, we didn't get to the Super Bowl or win the division or even have a home playoff game, but we made some noise in the playoffs. At least we'll always have that." The crazy thing is, this isn't going to end any time soon. 2021 is probably the earliest the Jete might be respectable, but they could lose some key guys to free agency by then and/or have to start paying Darnold real money and be unable to restock the roster. They blew their chance in 2010 and now are stuck in a perpetual cycle of suck.

Are they finally tanking like they tried to the last two years? Hey, maybe they can land another third-overall pick bust for the third year in a row! Would that be an NFL record?
