Reports I heard, Belichick & Brady are both upset with Robert “strip mall bj” Kraft.

Browns tweet was priceless...
“Different strokes for different folks”

Clearly buying into the Patriot Way and sending texts to this woman inside the pats facility don’t really go hand in hand. I like AB the football player but when he’s clearly focused on all the drama outside of football he’s not “All-in” on football which IMO is a key ingredient to the Patriot Way.

So here's the thing: that text was in response to a new allegation. The first one he handled quite amicably, considering he was actually accused of rape in the first allegation. This one was a sexual misconduct thing, a "lesser" evil. What I'm saying is, he was buying into the Patriot way, and slipped up. That's completely understandable for a dumbass like this guy as far as I am concerned. We knew what we were getting into when we signed him.

It's just weird that after one thing, he's just gone. Boom. Over.

I've been consistent on letting guys go for these small infractions (and sure, Antonio's situation isn't exactly small, but I think the text is small): I was upset when we didn't renegotiate with Collins (ecstatic that he's back), and I've maintained to this day that we should never have benched (and subsequently released) Jonas Gray.

Again, I'm just a fan and as a fan, I cannot stand when we get rid of talent, although I understand why we do. I also am coming from the standpoint that these (possibly) false allegations ruin men's lives. If he did what they say he did, bury him under the jail. But simply the allegation can cause all of this, and let's be real-- this is entirely because of allegations.

No one is going to give a **** if the Chiefs win with Tyreek Hill. He did horrible things, one proven, and has a history of domestic violence. AB has never beaten a woman, and as you said it’s all allegations and zero proof. The Pats didn’t let Brady get a chance to mentor Brown mike he has so many other guys. Look at what Moss, Gordon, and others have said about their life altering experiences with Brady. I will hate the salary cap implications, but I hope Kraft is forced to pay Brown all the money. Nowhere should it be a violation of a contract to violate pretend “rules” about how to deal with your personal life issues, and it’s a huge stretch to say those texts crossed a line that would void a contract. Seems all the Pats players and coaches want AB, especially the guy taking a massive discount, but one guy (who was recently caught in a seedy * parlor) put his foot down. What a douche.

I have to leave the room when the Pats give victory speeches and Kraft takes the microphone. What a phony, coat-tail riding hypocrite. I can stand a lot of NFL players with misdeeds - given their backgrounds - than Bendover Bob. Glad he gave into the 31 again...I’m sure one of his “owner allies” who advised him to release AB is already on the phone with Rosenhaus. Bob is a fool. See Deflategate and his pathetic speech and hug for the man putting a knife in his back.

I'm not going to go so far as to denigrate Kraft for his personal life (and because I believe that prostitution should be 1000000% legal), but I do find it hypocritical. I was unaware up until recently that (allegedly) Bill wanted to keep Brown as well. That throws another spider in this box of tarantulas, and to wit, is the second time Kraft has undermined Bill. This might not be the end of this...

I guess THIS is the headache that signing Brown causes. C'est la vie.

Seems obvious that Myra had a lot of input and smarts.

It’s ironic that Bob still thinks there’s some kind of idea that the Patriots are a high road team. Because he flushed that down the toilet in 2015. Delusional. Might a well just embrace that everyone thinks your scum anyway. That’s why the AB signing made sense, and I think BB knows that. Guilty or
Not Guilty, they are a team who are bound together by outside hate and criticism.

Brady should press Kraft on keeping the door open to re-sign AB after the NFL ends its investigation and takes no action.

At this point much more okay with trading Garoppolo than I am with drafting a goddamn running back (who's being far outperformed by Rex Burkhead and maybe even Brandon Bolden) over Lamar Jackson.
I thought you just said you were against drafting a goddamn running back in the first round?

It’s too late. Bob could have just kept him on the Exempt List with no risk, no use of roster spot, but he ejaculated prematurely again. That’s why the Exempt List actually exists...to determine if an infraction was committed and if so, how long the suspension is for. But an audio recording could come out tomorrow of both women admitting they’re lying, and we are sht out of luck. Absolutely senseless and stupid decision by Bobby. He just couldn’t handle the idea of people asking him questions about it.

Though unlikely I thought there was a very outside chance for that if AB came to expeditious and amicable deals with accusers and the NFL didn't put a scarlet letter on him, and he kept his proverbial nose clean during that time(keep his trap shut!). When AB mentioned Kraft's paid sex issues it probably sunk that very unlikely scenario.
But even if that best case scenario came about opening him for a 'clean';-) return I still doubt Kraft would have ok'd AB's return to the Patriots. Take a look at the sports media *********** now. AB is what 10 days a former Patriot? Already his huge story and actions barely warrant a click bait blurb at bottom of a page. Kraft would have to know a return would just be throwing chum back into shark infested waters to cause a new feeding frenzy that, for some mysterious reason, can see a trip to Taco Bell be a dubious, nefarious action. Just is what it is.

I’m well aware of the false accusations that happened to Edelman and Micheal Irvin, and I was actually willing to let it play out, until the text messages, which took place as a Patriot, and imo were no different that Tyreek Hill’s “ you need to be terrified of me...” statement. I think Tyreek Hill should be banned from playing in the NFL, and I believe Antonio Brown deserved to be cut for what he did. Standing by people who terrorize women is disgraceful, and Patriot fans cheering him on would be just that.

Completely disagree. There was nothing in those texts more than mockery.

No he couldn’t. The Exempt List is a league function, not a team function, and there is no way the NFLPA was going to go along with exempting players for accusations in a civil suit. That said you keep pretending that Brown is clean when in fact the texts show he is anything but clean. He’s a bully and the texts were a textbook case of witness intimidation, Kraft was 100% right in cutting him when he did.

Total bullsh.t. If his case were in criminal court he would have been arrested immediately for witness intimidation.

You're right about Kraft being delusional about how people perceive the team. 2001-04 were the heroes. 2015- are the villains.

I still stick by not liking the Brown signing for a variety of reasons, but if the reason we cut him was because Kraft couldn't accept that it made us look like the bad guys... well, that missed the boat as much as the Titanic didn't miss the iceberg.

Is it too late to change my vote on the poll of this Thread? I will like to change from a Yes to a No please.
Edit: Nevermind, that option exist.

Well they can make it money well spent by bringing him back.

It was stupid to cut him. And it would be even more stupid to pay him $9m and not have him play for us when he wants to play for us and would materially improve our offense.

Time to bring AB back where he belongs.
