Antonio Brown

No but I think the players union will have a say. I know godell rules with an incompetent iron fist but he is treading a little more lightly right now cause new contract negations with the union are upcoming. A serious false step would put him and the nfl in a weaken spot for those negotiations. If this happened two years ago I believe Antonio might already be suspended but not this year.
I think there is something to your theory.

A kinder, gentler Goody (anyways until the CBA is complete)

I know this has already been posted but it's me just replying to it

Sports Illustrated’s Robert Klemko, who detailed Brown’s strange off-the-field behavior in a bombshell report published Monday, indicated Tuesday on WEEI’s “Dale & Keefe” that more criminal charges might be coming against the 31-year-old. “He has a history now of hiring people to do a job and then creating some sort of division when the pay is due and then not paying,” Klemko said, as transcribed by WEEI.com. “At some point, that becomes illegal. A lot of people (are) under verbal contracts with Antonio Brown because they don’t have any suspicion that he’s not going to pay them because he is worth this amount of money. “We did hear over the course of the reporting that there were a couple people considering criminal charges against Antonio Brown. We weren’t able to report on any of those specifically because they haven’t gathered all of their evidence and made the filings and all that. I think that is going to be coming in the next few weeks.”

How full of himself is this guy?

more criminal charges
There hasn't been one criminal charge against Brown

What the f**k is this guy on? That's a monetary civil dispute. If people got arrested for not paying bills everyone in the world would have an arrest record. They could try to file criminal charges all they like, cops are going to tell them it's a civil matter.
how many people you know that don't pay their bills? Unless poor and can't afford to, not paying for services you asked for is being a total POS scum bag in my book.

I think Roger saw some of those videos in the case of Miss Taylor social media giveth social media taketh away.

????
"No timeline" doesn't mean "might be weeks, if ever". It means "we're not going to tell you when". It could be Thursday. Or, yes, it could be weeks.
They're going to want at least a couple of days to think it over I bet and (since this is Goodell and he doesn't care about fairness) gauge the public sentiment. Also, I can imagine that there's an in-house conflict between "we have to look good to the public" and "This isn't a great time to piss off the NFLPA".
Yea they'll want time to complete their "investigation" which may include everything from more interviews to doing nothing but making it looking like they are in fact investigating.

They take these matters very seriously, y'know....

NFL investigating is just so darn stupid. We have a justice system, the NFL should just punish people who are convicted of a crime. Isn't this the freaken US of A?

If true i'd imagine the accuser didn't have definitive evidence for the nfl or else it wouldn't be "no timeline" they would have immediately put him on the exempt list. When that video of Hunt was released he was placed on the exempt list within hours.

Britney is probably flying not First Class but Coach next to the bathroom on her way back home now.:D Even Roger could see through that Swiss cheese story.

I believe brown stated that she used pictures of them together to get that celebrity status and get opportunities. I wonder if she had a smoking gun in her ig before she deleted it. Is that information recoverable or maybe someone copied it before she deleted her IG.

Hit that back button.

I’m not stupid. I’ve read the last few pages. There is no exoneration. Just because there is no timeline right now, it doesn’t mean AB is exonerated. They’ll interview a few more people and then make a decision, probably.

Goodell will have the info he needs just before the play-offs start..he has to be thorough you know.

Good post, but don't you think he has attorneys advising him to avoid doing that?

Sure, the public and social pressure is one thing, but this would make no sense exactly because of what you say. I assume most men would not agree with this, for sure the players won't. The CBA is coming up. We shall see.

I expect there are attorneys advising him. The problem is he has a business product, and he weighs the return on investment on his decision versus the costs of the particular course of action.

Look at it as a variation of the Ford Pinto actuary assessment. Prudent course of action given the risks versus the more profitable course of action.

What exoneration? Am I missing something?
No, you're not.
The dude you're replying to somehow thinks that "no timeline for decision" = "exoneration"

But using actual photographs, not fictional drawings.
It just sucks that we have him on the few games that we don't really need him.

Hopefully he's here when we do

I read somewhere that Brown is due a bonus on Monday. Maybe, the Pats will
decide he isn't worth the bother and won't pay the bonus. This would also get the heat off Goodell.

I’m pretty sure they don’t care about Goodell getting heat. If AB is producing, they’ll pay him. Let Goodell do his job and then deal with whatever happens with the “investigation.”

If the NFL suspends Brown over a civil suit, the NFLPA will declare war.
No, they'll meekly accept it the way they do everything else. Oh sure, you'll get some sort of official statement from DeMaurice Smith. That and $2.69 will get you a large cream and sugar at Dunkin'.
