That really sucks for this to happen to a great guy like Brees. Tough news for the Saints.

But I have to state the obvious here... this could mean Brady is now in the driver seat to break Manning’s TD record.

  1. Best of luck to Brees on a complete recovery.
  2. This makes that NFCS a wide open division.

Break it first, yes. Whoever ultimately holds the record is the guy who retires last.

Damn. Was not expecting it to be this long term of an injury.

That stinks. Hate to see that. Hope he makes it better sooner rather than later. Bridgewater looked okay...but he's def not the star many thought or still think he will be.

This will sure put Brady a decent ways ahead, though.
Crazy that Brees is still 3k ahead in passing yards. Brady should pass Peyton within 3-4 games.

I’d like to see Taysom Hill get a chance. It would be interesting to see what he can do.

I'd think with the weapons on offense bradys a lock for 2 td/game. Have to think he'll amass at least 10 over that 6 games he misses, worst case for brees it's more like a 15 TD difference from missed games.

Not a good year if you're competing with brady for TDs with all his current weapons.

Payton just waiting for a reason to pull Teddy two gloves to put his boy Taysom in lol. I can’t wait for the game they run an unnecessarily foolish play with Taysom and he cost them the game.

Hate this. Hope he is back ahead of schedule

You're not kidding on #2. No one inspires confidence in that division right now. And depending on how afloat New Orleans can stay until Brees comes back, this could be the 2nd time ever that 7-9 wins a division.

The thought of Tampa not being out of the race in that division is a staggering thought.

Well they can kiss the first round bye goodbye. They can still survive this and stay in the hunt.

If they are 4-4 at the half way mark they have a good chance to make the playoffs. If they go 3-5 that would be a hard climb back into contention. Particularly if Brees still isn't close to 100% right when he takes the field.

Needs 18 more TD's to beat it. Should have this before the bye week.:)

Bummer for the Saints. Stick a fork in them...
