Quick question: Josh Gordon

The tales of the early Patriots are on their way to assuming myth-like status. The truth is lost in the mists of time.

Did you catch my mention of Larry Eisenhauer tackling Rex Trailers sidekick Pablo? Nobody else did. I posted it in some thread about that Jet player tackling Pat Patriot.

No. I had missed it. Thanks for reposting it here.

Does anyone know the legal standing and punshiment of a diluted sample vs a positive test?

After all, diluted samples can truly come from just drinking too much water. (Not saying that’s what happened with josh)

It might be a factor in him having some kind of reduced suspension. Maybe he could return by the start of next season m.

it was probably posted elsewhere but possibly update here makes sense:

Good to hear the doors are open and the possibility realistic. It would boost Pats WR picture . more importantly i still believe Foxboro offers one of best chances for rehab of this unfortunate soul.

The money will be small . but possibly he senses the reward could be great..

Was he ever given a suspension? Or is there an inpending one? I'm so confused.

Seems to me he is under an open ended suspension.

another "Article 46" special?

I'd love to see him brought back, as long as he's looked at as more of a WR3-WR5 type of player in terms of how he's viewed, as opposed to being looked at as a WR1-WR2.

It is supposed to count as a positive test, but they’re clearly using a different set of rules for Gordon. After being suspended for the whole 2015 season, he had a dilute sample with a trace of marijuana in March or 2016, but only got a 4 game suspension rather than indefinite or a full season. He voluntarily missed the whole season to go to rehab, though.

Won’t change the fact that we should be reloading at wr via the draft/FA

I mean, c’mon, even he could have had a better day than Hogan did on Sunday.

I feel as though the Patriots would've blown the Rams out with Gordon on the field Sunday. He was the one guy that could take the top off of defenses. Doesn't matter now. They won anyways.

Regardless, he should get a ring. I have no doubt Kraft will ensure he gets a ring. Would've been cool if he was invited to participate in the parade. However I get why he couldn't.

He seems like a good guy and I wish him all the best. But he first got suspended five years ago. Drugs are the most important thing in his life. Sadly, I think it's far more likely that his battle ends with a fatal OD than a victory. He got suspended just when we started to rely on him and got used to having him on the team. I would rather have someone who is a little less talented and who is reliable than I would Gordon.
