It is so stupid. It doesn't help or hurt your chances. It just makes you look like a jerk. No one can ever guarantee victory.

Tom Brady couldn't guarantee victory over the Browns at home with an entirely healthy roster. You just can't promise that. To many odd things can happen in the NFL even with the most stacked opponent against the weakest. A few weird bounces, big calls going against you and drops can make the worst team better than the best team potentially.

Also if you are going to go that far why not just guarantee to win the super bowl this year?

That’s precisely what he did. He started out by saying that they would win the SB for Ryan Shazier and that it included beating NE who was the “benchmark” for NFL success.

The one and only inflammatory comment was the headline that it didn’t matter that they had to come to Foxborough, hence the “Haiti, Hell” etc statement.

Disrespected 3 teams all in one comment, so dumb.

I'm so glad we are in their heads the week before a playoff game against another team. What could go wrong?
